The US-30 Drypack provides 30 litres of storage capacity which is ideal for a multi-day tour or motocamping when you may need to carry, a jacket, spare shoes, a change of clothes or camping gear.

Great bag, great system, keeps things dry
I bought this a few years ago. It's one of the best purchases I've made.
The buckle system is great. Previously I would try to attach a duffle with bungees and always struggled to keep it in place on my '09 Bonneville. This was more money at the time than I wanted to spend, but turned out to be one of the smartest purchases I've made.
My first trip out with it, I was stuck on a downpour with all my clothing for a weekend away with my wife. Everything was bone dry despite riding in torrential downpour for 30+ mins.
I've now had it for 4 years and it still looks great. I'm now on a BMW f700GS and I almost always have this bag on when I'm out riding for the day. 30L is great as well if you need to run errands and pick up larger items.
Pros:
Quick to get on and off the bike
Keeps things dry
Looks clean on the bike
Shoulder strap is great when going into a hotel at the end of the day
Much quicker and clean looking than a duffle with bungees
Con's
Rollup is a bit of a hassle to get things out of quick during the riding day.

Excellent for what it is
I've had one of these for several years that I used as a tailbag on an SV1000S which is still in like new condition and recent purchased a second one to supplement the hard cases on my R1200GSA.
The Kriega US-30 is completely waterproof, holds more than it appears, is well constructed and is easy to strap securely to the bike. These bags are great for carrying soft, bulky items such as a tent, sleeping bag, tomorrows clothes, etc. I currently use these bags specifically for multi-day trips and items I only plan to access at the end of the day and in that role, they work wonderfully.
Like any dry bag with an end roll closure, these are not great for organizing many smaller items (although the white interior helps in finding small items) or items you want to access quickly such as an extra layer, rain gear, etc.
In summary, if a roll closure dry bag strapped to bike (or quad, kayak, etc) is the right solution for your use case and you're okay with paying a premium, the Kreiga US series bags are about the best you'll find.

Fantastic Addition
After years of fighting with sub par tail bags I finally invested in the Kriega. The 30 comfortably holds my sleeping roll and bag along with everything I need on over night trips. It is absolutely a set it and forget it, didn't move an inch through high winds and rough roads. The only small issue is when I have it pretty much empty the straps dont seem to want to tighten enough. Other than that, its everything I wanted and needed

Perfect travel bag

Does it keep its shape when empty?
No, bag is not rigid. When it empty it can be strapped down flat on the bike

Will the dry pack remain secure in place during a ride if the dry pack is empty? Or is it designed to be always holding some items.
Even empty, you can tie it up n the bike without any troubles.
I'm using a 30L and 20L for years ... the best product ever.
