Top quality
The price tag is the only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars. This thing is a beautifully crafted piece of art. Akrapovic is an expensive brand and their stuff is always top quality. I've owned other popular brands and none of them come. Aside from the spendy price tag, this thing is terrific.
Despite this particular piece (PART # A49005981000) not being listed as fitting my particular bike (2024 KTM 500 EXC-F), I can tell you it fits perfectly with no fuss.
Sound-wise, compared to the stock muffler, it has a very slightly deeper tone, possibly making it a tiny bit louder but not discernable to my ear. It comes with a bolt-in db-killer, and I have left it in place. I'm not interested in making my bike louder.
I have done no other mods to the bike's air/fuel intake or exhaust, no ECU re-flash, no ignition mods, etc. For now it's completely stock except for this slip-on and the bike runs exactly as it did before. Tests with a digital temperature gun show it's running slightly cooler at the header pipe (about 50 Celsius cooler) so that's good. An aftermarket ECU is in my plan for later to improve fuelling but for now the bike runs very well.
