                  Description

Versatility is the major skill of the Defender set. It ensures you stay dry in those high-speed water crossings, and with removable sleeves, allows you to stay cool when blasting through the desert. This is a clear all-rounder that is highly capable in extreme Enduro situations, and thanks to features like large cargo pockets, is also perfect for those longer Enduro days. The design is inspired by the very elements it was developed for, meaning the gear set is not only tough, but exceptionally comfortable as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built pants - unclear sizing Disclaimer - haven't road tested these. I was trying to find some ADV pants for warm weather riding that didn't cost more than my helmet. These might fit the bill. I am impressed with the D30 included in knee and hip, but the placement isn't adjustable. The fabric seems pretty tough, and it's got level A rating so that's good. The leather knee pads are great, and the patches you see under the knees, going around the entire leg, are more abrasion resistant patches. The butt is covered with the same material. The black crotch is stretchy material. Not sure how breatheable they are. They might be too warm. The air intakes are not huge, and there's no outlet vents or mesh paneling. The pockets (only the 2 shown. That's all you get) are medium sized. Velcro closure with some snaps. The pockets are lined and I think should be fairly water resistant. But... not zippered. So small stuff could bounce out and dust will get in. I don't love the adjustable waist. The velcro parts are great, but the adjuster strap they are on is elastic. So... you're adjusting the snugness of the pant. It's not a belt. My issue is with sizing, and Fortnine's failure on sizing chart. I have a 35in/89cm waist, and I'm 6ft4. I bought the XL because that's what fortnine's chart indicated for KTM sizing. Pulling in the waist about 4in/10cm gets me in the ball park for fit. No idea about inseam length, but they seem within an inch of where they should be, and the armor sits perfectly when I'm on the bike. At this point, I'm not sure if I will keep them. They might be too hot, and the waist is very large. If I can find inseam info somewhere, I might downsize. Or I'll just change the belt to something less stretchy and maybe get them tailored around the waist. But they seem like very well built pants, and the price is excellent.
