could have been a 5 out of 5 but...
overall I was very pleased with this product and the installation of same. There was one thing however that prevented me from giving this a 5 star rating. I feel that the manufacturer needs to have a small male/female plug on the harness just up from the light, so that when you ever go to take that cover it mounts on, off, you do not have that large chrome cover hanging/dangling on the end of the harness. Most guys I am sure would prefer to set them on the workbench away from the area you are working in. I cut my harness and found some small plugs and modified my harness to do just that.
I also ordered the recommended pigtail kit to install on the wiring harness by the mirrors. I am glad I did so I did not have cut the factory wiring harness. However the large mass of wires and multiple plugs was an interesting problem to sort out for the available space and I finally pulled it all further up and out and coiled it up inside the mirror housing with copious quantities of shrink tubing to seal the plugs from the elements. I think it would have been a larger problem to try and fit it inside the small area that the mirror pivot bracket occupied. I did have to take my Dremel tool and open up the small channel on the mirror backing mount that the stock wire ran through so that the larger mass of wires would fit and still allow the mirror to mount properly
