Description
The adjustable Plug-N-Go Driver Backrest for Indian models offers enhanced comfort for long hauls and custom styling at a price that can't be beat. The pad's contoured design provides the perfect amount of lower back support that can be dialed in to suit the needs of virtually any rider. Adjust the height by simply pulling up or down to mate the coordinated notches with the included steel mounting bracket that mounts to the frame beneath the rider's seat. Front and rear adjustability can also be set up upon installation to provide support exactly where it's needed. Premium synthetic leather outer construction complements the factory saddle.

Not Properly Engineered
I purchased this for my 2020 Indian Chieftain. The product itself is made very well. The issue is the receiver portion that fit under the seat that accepts the back mount was positioned directly under my tail bone. It made riding more than uncomfortable.
FortNine customer Service Centre were outstanding which keeps me coming back as a loyal customer.

Got this as a Christmas gift from my wife, I had been looking at getting one for a while. Weather has finally warmed up enough for me to set it up, (unheated garage) so set to it yesterday.
First off wiring is in the way, as per instructions I cut the tie holding the bundle on the left side to free it and allow placement of base. It fit perfectly so I continued to remove bolts, set up the supplied replacement bolts (nice and shiny) and bolted it in place.
I was unable to tie the bundle back n place as the supplied tie was a little too short for my fingers. It would be nice to have a longer tie, I will see what I can find.
The backrest looks good as shown so it is now just the final adjustments to set the height and for and aft position for the back cushion. This will be done later today (I hope) as I want To get the Battery back in and have every thing set for a test ride before final fitting. Watch for the final installment.

This thing bolted right up, and nice and solid when installed. Great value for the price. I painted my height adjustment rail black, to match the bike better.

No, unfortunately this backrest does not flip down.

Can you have this mounted and still carry a passenger, With their own backrest?
Yes.I have a Indian Roadmaster with a full trunk backrest for passenger and it worked great
