does this amber bulb have three locating pins on the base?
A standard 1156 or 1157 has two bayonet pins, that are diametrically opposite each other. on the 1156 they are the same height (with one circuit you don't care about which one right) and on the 1157 one of the bayonet pins is higher up the base than the other (with two circuits, you do care about which one is which). Persuade yourself that this is correct before using.
