A whole new classification of product. The Chest Protector 4.5 Hydra combines real chest and back protection with a backpack and hydration system that harnesses securely and comfortably to your body. Not a cheap roost guard, but impact tested and CE certified chest and back protectors tested to the highest levels of impact protection. Harness the system on your body for a secure fit, then use the quick-adjust straps to attach the front chest plate where it fits you best. The front chest plate wraps farther around your flank than other chest protectors offering you enhanced flank protection. The backpack harness system helps keep the full backpack from bouncing around or slamming into your back while riding. The backpack itself features Leatt's top of the line CleanTech 3 liter bladder with quick detach hose which rests in an insulated compartment. It also has pockets and compartments for virtually anything you need for a long ride. Great front venting is coupled with ribbed AirLine air channels and mesh to help keep you cool even on the hottest days.

Little to complain aboutWorks for a race, best for the weekend ride. It’s not too heavy. I carry a litre of water per ride, , spare goggles, spare gloves, phone, keys, snack and a couple beers. I don’t notice it without the weight of the water and beer.
Has hidden rain cover to keep it cleanish when it’s nasty out. I’ve beaten on it for 3 years. Good value for the money.
Ps Vancouver Island sucks, tell your friends

Overpriced, under developedFit is good. Padding is lacking. For $390 with taxes I expected more from Leatt. You can't remove the roost guard and still use the pack, unlike the previous generation of the 4.5 Hydrapack. No add on options for shoulder protection even though the 4.5 pro pads would easily work. I dunno, i might send it back.

Was tired of wearing a chest protector and back pack together. Was uncomfortable and hot. This was the perfect solution. Fits good and has plenty of storage for hitting the trails. 🤙🏼

Great solution to armour and hydrationSolid unit, fit is good, quality is amazing. Only 4 stars as I had to replace the bladder. After washing it like a dozen times, still smells and tastes like a chemical factory. If it’s designed to drink out of, they need to do better

Top NotchI can’t seem to find anything wrong with this bag. I’m 5’8” 150lbs and it fits me great with the straps at the smallest setting. Holds a bit over 2L of water which is great for the trail. Waterproof bag is an awesome idea in case your stuck in the rain. It has a ton of compartments for all your gear including a waterproof sealed compartment. Also comes with a nice velcro you can stick to your helmet for easy sipping. Also comes with 90degree bite tube which is a must have. You get what you pay for 10/10
