Leatt GPX 5.5 helmets feature the category-defining 360° Turbine Technology and they are ECE or DOT certified. The helmet is lined with turbines, which are 360° moving discs constructed from an energy-absorbing shape and material. This technology has two key advantages, namely the reduction of rotational acceleration to the head and brain and the absorption of energy upon impact at concussion level. The entire outer shell is also reduced in volume, resulting in a significant decrease of rotational acceleration to the head and brain at impact, and proving that a smaller shell is a safer shell. Regardless of the speed, Leatt helmets facilitate all-round ventilation.
Features:
Composite shell in three sizes
360° Turbine Technology:
Reduces up to 30% of head impact at concussion level
Reduces up to 40% of rotational acceleration to head and brain
Reduced outer shell volume: A 10% smaller shell, transfers up to 20% less rotational forces to the neck, head and brain
Multi-density, V-shaped impact foam molded directly to the outer shell significantly reduces G-forces transferred to the head and brain
Dri-Lex® moisture wicking, breathable, anti-odor and washable inner liner
Optimal neck brace compatibility
Maximized ventilation: optimized for off-road racing and effective even at very low speeds
Visor with breakaway function for rotational reduction in a crash
Emergency cheek pad removal
Hydration ready (with optional hands-free kit)
Certified and tested: ECE 2205/DOT

Light weight and good airflow.I am happy with my purchase but the helmets come in two forms, ECE or ECE/DOT certified. Fortnine does not provide this information. The ECE/DOT certified helmets are 1/2lb heavier. I got lucky with my purchase, and received an ECE only Ink/Blue version. I purchased.a second helmet for my girlfriend in Red/Teal to find it to be noticeably heavier because it was ECE/DOT. The ECE in Large weighs 1185g and the ECE/DOT in medium weighs 1440g.

First class businessAttention brick and mortar stores! Your going to lose all your customers to Fortnine!!! I got my helmet almost the next day after ordering and they were willing to take back the helmet because I am a new rider and thought the helmet didn’t fit, but it was just the cheek guards, they make the helmet a tight fit but good if it was ever needed. So the helmet is super light, small and a great fit. The only thing is the mouth filter is not removable to clean? Other than that .... top notch

Super light and comfortableVery light weight. Most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. Ventilation is better than my last mountain bike fullface helmet with great protection for the moto.
