Great engine guard just needs a larger washer
Very happy with this engine guard the install on my 2009 vulcan 900 classic went very well super easy. Shipping was extremly fast did not wait long. My only gripe would be the washers they send for the radiator bolt are too thin and flimsey. I bought a large stainless washer to correct this and i am loving the function and look of them.

OK but could be better
I bought this last week fron Fortnine and as usual arrived in a timely manner - these guys are fantastic - I only wish Lindby was as good.
The crashbar by itself is well made but could use a little better design for attaching to the down tubes - the half clamps don't give much confidence as they look as if they could pop off the tubes in a side load - instead of just going half way around the tube it should complete enclose the down tube in a pipe style two hole clamp.
As others mentioned the screw heads for attaching were barely covering the slots for attachment - I already anticipated this and had washers available.
And now for the best - the 10 mm x 80 mm x 1.5 bolts supplied to replace the original 10 mm x 70 mm x 1.25 bolts were a 1.5 thread pitch instead of a 1.25 thread pitch - another trip to the hardware store during the install - frustrating to say the least - then the 80 mm bolts were too long and a wire harness underneath would have rubbed against the exposed threads - so back to the store for 75 mm long bolts.
The devil is in the details - would I buy again - only if I had a hardware list I could purchase and have it on hand for when I'd be doing the project plus a redesign of the down tubes attaching method.

Excellent highway bar
I was surprised that my order took, only ,3 ,business days, to get delivered , to me. The fit was perfect on my Harley Davidson,and the installing time was about half an hour. The only tools, I needed, to do the installation, were ,1 ,5/16 ,Allen key,(SAE) ,and ,1 ,1/2 inch,box end wrench,and 1 , 1/2 inch socket and driver. The installation could be done using 1 ,1/2 inch wrench, and a pair pliers to hold the top nut steady ,while tightening bolt. .

Didn't fit well
Had too do some modification to get it to fit the threaded rod was stripped so I had to get a better one...good thing I can do this in my garage and lots of patience...wouldn't buy again or recommend

Lacking details
Although it came with plenty of bolts I still had to purchase 2 cause there was only 2 and not 4 for the size I needed. When listing the bike style you would think that the proper attachment would be in the deal.
Otherwise it looks great on.

Great Addition!
Installed this on a 2003 Yamaha Vstar 1100 Classic - WITH 4" floorboard extensions! I bought this bar thinking I would need to do some modifications to it because of the extentions, but I didn't! Installed perfectly and makes the bike look so much bigger! Great quality and finish!

Customer service confused
Fit perfect except there was SAE hardware supplied not Metric.
The purchase was for a Honda VTX
I emailed and they sent new hardware, except it was the same SAE hardware they sent.
So I had to go buy new hardware.
Not an issue with Fortnine.
Didn't like the Lindby logo on the bar I am not their bill board?

Will they work with forward controls?
We can only guarantee the fit of this item with stock vehicles, and not with any aftermarket modifications.

Will this require any modifications to the Brake lever or Gear shifter on a 2016 Honda Stateline VT1300CRA ABS?
If your bike is stock, then there shouldn't be any modifications required to install this item. You may just need to slightly adjust the positioning on the rear brake, so the brake pedal doesn’t touch the unibar

Would there be any installation issue with horn or foot pad on 2001 Yamaha (XV) AT1600 Road Star Silverado?
