Description
The LS2 Strobe modular helmet offers features you would expect to find on helmets costing two to three times as much. This is a helmet designed by riders for riders. The full-metal latch system operates smoothly and offers a super secure closure for safety. It opens with a single button that is easy to find and easy to use, even with a heavy winter glove. The chin bar has a secure detent at the full open position, so it stays in place when it is up.
This modular motorcycle helmet has LS2’s Twin Shield System sun shield, so you get the sun protection you want, and can quickly get more light when entering a tunnel or darker area. The Strobe uses a slide and cable technology to engage the sun shield smoothly, offering ease of use and less wind noise. The face shield is optically correct, scratch resistant and has LS2’s ShortShift Tool-less Quick Release, making it easy to change whenever you need and the breathable fabric liner wicks moisture, and the 3D laser cut foam liner and cheek pads are removable and washable. The LS2 Strobe is so comfortable, you’ll forget you have it on.

Excellent value
I bought this helmet for use in mainly rainy weather. It works great, but as noted it does have not the best for internal airflow so it tends to fog. I bought a pinlock antifog insert for it which solves the fogging issue. Problem is the pinlock is very poor optically, it is like looking through a shield that still has the protective plastic cover on it. I ended up removing it and just crack the shield open if it fogs at all. While we are on shields the replacement shields do not come with the black pivot inserts mounted in the shield. This forces you to use the ones from your stock face shield. The tabs that hold them onto the shield are very small and look easy to break so a person will not want to do this often. I found this out when I bought a dark tinted shield to use with the thought of wearing it on sunny days as well and just switching face shields back and forth. By having to remove and insert the black pivot rings in the face shield it killed that idea. So far I have had no luck finding out where to get some. BTW this helmet uses the same shields as the FF386 helmet. I confirmed this on the LS2 website before ordering one. Other than the minor issue with shields it is a fantastic helmet and it fits me like a glove. It is hard to find a long narrow helmet these days. At the price they sell this helmet for it is a no brainer.

Great helmet
Everything works as advertised, sizing is bang on -- tight for first couple of rides. Visor cleans up nicely with water alone. I bought the high viz model and I am seen a km away on the highway. Recommended.

Finally - A True Long Oval Fit
I have a difficult time finding helmets that fit my long oval head. Thankfully this helmet fits my head shape unlike the other LS2 helmets.

Great fit for long oval heads
Fits long oval heads well. much better than my standard fit helmet. I was an XL to XXL on regular fit helmets and needed a large in this, as stated on the fit guide. you'll need the drop down sun visor as there is no way to comfortably get sunglasses into the lid.Not tons of ventilation so great for the cooler times of year

Excellent rapport qualité prix
La conception est excellente pour le prix. Il est hyper confortable au quotidien et pour de long trajet. Seul point faible: il manque un peu d'aération à basse vitesse, il a tendance à s’embuer rapidement par temps froid à l'arrêt et l'emplacement pour ajouter des speakers n'est pas assez profond.

Is this a long oval or an intermediate oval fit?

Does the Strobe have a breath deflector? Also, my head size is middle to higher on the XL, but have always felt that to be too tight when closing the modular (like the LS2 Metro Rapid). Would the 2XL be more appropriate?
The helmet does have a breath deflector. I found the helmet is sized large, had to exchange for a size smaller than size chart.

Is there a groove for eyeglasses?
There's not a "groove" but the padding is shaped to accept glasses. I buy modulars because they are easier to put on, take off, wear... with glasses and I've had no issues with fitment in the 3 years I've been using it. The helmet is snug at first, if you buy the right size, but my glasses still don't press into me.

I've heard conflicting reports as to how accurate LS2's sizing chart is. How do they compare to, say, an HJC or Scorpion Helmet when it comes to sizing?
The sizing chart said I should take extra large but as I was on the top end of the chart I went to xxl it fits my long oval head nice except for the cheeks which i changed the pads

Does it have two visors, one tinted for sun?
Yes, it has two visors. The outside clear pulls all the way down; the inside tinted comes down to cover your eyes - side helmet sliding button activates visor - very handy. Hopes this helps. I really like the helmet.
