Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent helmet ! This helmet has a lot of great features , a drop down visor , an included anti fog shield, its light weight , great venting and I could go on! Worth every bit and I would recommend it highly! As for sound probably average, is there any helmet that is sound proof I doubt it so like any helmet you need to wear ear plugs. Bottom line an excellent buy! This is one great helmet

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but needs improvement. Pros: Good finish to the graphics and colour. Very light weight. Fit was spot on. Very comfortable. Chin strap is way more convenient than the D-ring set ups found on other helmets. Cons: The two areas LS2 needs to improve are the sunshade as it doesn’t drop down far enough, and the anti fog system which does not work nearly as well as a proper pinlock. It fogs very quickly with the visor locked down all the way and makes vision through the face shield blurry. It would be better to use an anitfog spray than LS2's antifog set up. In cool weather I could not ride with the visor locked down as the fogging was seriously impairing vision of the road. The drop down sunshield is more of an annoyance. The easy fogging is a definite weakness. I would not recommend this helmet for cool weather because of the fogging issues experienced so far, unless the rider has the visor cracked open and is comfortable with cold air whistling in the helmet. The helmet had a whiffy plastic odour. It gassed off after being exposed to open air for several days. Venting is adequate given the bike has a wind screen. I would recommend the helmet as a second helmet for warm weather only. The fitment is extremely good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice helmet Good snug fit and looks good. The sun-visor works well on its own, even at Hwy speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my 2nd helmet this is my second helmet. first one was a hundred dollars SSGear helmet that i really liked. But now, i just upgraded to this one and I couldn't be happier. The comfort, the noise isolation (especially with the chin curtain). driving cruiser 120 km/h no whistling sound yet. Cons: there one thing i would like to change: the shaded visor doesn't go down all the way which means if my main shield is up and my dark one is down, the wind is directed directly at my eyeballs. i'm happy i got it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would definitely recommend I am extremely happy with this helmet. The sun shield comes down to the perfect level so it doesn't block my vision like the previous models. The wind buffeting is probably average among helmets, which, for me, is good for a mid-priced helmet. The vents are great. My only complaint is that there's so much padding that it takes all my eyebrow make up off when I put it on and take it off. I can't avoid it. But I acknowledge that's a ridiculous complaint. Very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice helmet. I'm very pleased with this helmet. I have a long oval head shape and have previously owned a few of the Arai Signet line (starting with the original in 1990) and a Shoei (can't recall the model) helmets in the past. The fit on this helmet is very similar. The only downside to fitment is the cheekpads which are not adjustable. That said they are still comfortable. The helmet is lightweight, although the shell seems slightly larger (perhaps to accommodate the visor) than other models. It's not an issue when when wearing it. This is my first lid with a built in visor. I thought I'd use it more, but in future I think I'd skip this feature. It's visually distracting and the bottom of the visor is still in your line of sight. I wore a medium in the Arai, and originally ordered the same (58cm head) but found it was uncomfortable. My face was squished and red like a zit ready to pop. Returned it an found the large to fit perfect. Snug with no slipping but comfortable. Fit and finish is surprisingly good for the price, it's not quite up to Arai standards but it's good. Fiberglass shell is better than thermoplastic or polycarbonate (which is still a thermoplastic). Vents work, but could be improved, no issues with fogging and the included pinlock is a nice touch. 40mn speakers fit nicely and are easy to install under the liner. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love it Bought this helmet after a deer hit last year with an entry level shoei, and using a very old hjc as a temporary. This ls2 in my opinion is superior to both, the shell is a little bigger and the chin strap bothered me a little at first as it sits a little close to my throat but I got used to it quickly. It's surprisingly light weight and much quieter than my last two helmets, the slide down tinted visor is amazing and the fit is perfect for my head shape, which I suppose is kind of oval but not particularly long. The design is attractive and matches my bike nicely, and the ece 22.06 rating is exactly what I wanted. For this price, it would be very difficult to beat this helmet. I would absolutely buy another one

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value, but not what I ordered I ordered a vector and got a citation?? Seems to be an almost identical helmet except that the emergency cheek cushions arent clearly marked in red like the vector.. Its a very tight fit, if there was an option to go one size bigger, I might try it.. Other wise , I am very impressed with the value of the helmet.. Nice design, I dont look like a bobble head and it is very light weight and quiet when I am riding. Wont know about the ventilation until the temps get 10-15C higher

does this have BT cut outs in helmet ?

                  Asked by: yamr3
There are no cutouts per se, however there is more than enough depth to insert Bluetooth speakers under the liner.

Does the fog shield actually work in cold conditions, like Canadian fall conditions?

                  Asked by: matt
It makes a huge difference with it in vs. with it out, if that helps.

I measure 58cm spot on. Would FortNine recommend a M or L size for the LS2 FF397 Vector Vantage Helmet?

                  Asked by: HoaryRider
Definitely L if not XL. I kept ordering until the XXL fit. A bit loud though over 100k. Maybe it's my big head though... Gets compliments though
