Description
The Memphis Fats features classic American styling with 7 gradient colors, a 50 state DOT approved "Solar" and clear. At 22" wide and available in 5 different heights from 13" to 21", if you are looking for a full coverage windshield, the Memphis Fats is the right one for you!
The windshield is constructed from Lucite brand acrylic for excellent optics and durability. Unlike many other brands, our windshields CAN be repaired with plastic polish (Novus is recommended). The windshield "straps" are polished stainless steel with CNC-machined billet aluminum fittings and stainless steel socket-head screws, so nothing will ever rust or corrode.
The Memphis Fats comes in 3 different headlight openings (7", 9", and 11") to perfectly fit most any bike, with the model specific mount kits sold separately.

great windshield for a 2014 harley forty eight XL
I'm just writing this to help anyone out there with a 2014 forty eight xl 1200 - there's not a lot of accessory info on this bike and accessories can be hard to fit on this model.
the shield looks good and offers better wind protection then the slim version. i'm 5'9" and got the 17" - i can clearly see over the shield - however if i had to do it again, i'd go for the 19" shield - protection is the key here and that extra bit would have gone a long way to further reducing head buffeting.
get the black fade on the bottom - it looks good. everyone likes the shield on my bike - they say it looks classic. i already had the 'cafe' memphis shades windscreen and the hardware for mounting the fats was exactly the same. if you already have MS mounting hardware, just look at the pictures of the hardware needed for your next purchase - if it looks the same then chances are that it's compatible.
easy to install with a bit of fiddling and fussing. the shield is very strong and does not flop around in hard headwinds. it cleans nice with water and a microfibre towel. a good trick is to pre-soak the shield by soaking a towel in hot water then laying it over the windscreen. give it five then wipe it clean.

I plan on ordering one with a 15" height. Is that from the whole length or from the top of the cutout?
The windshield height is from the top of the cutout.

Hi my road king has a 7” headlight, what is the actual cut out? It looks like a ~10” cutout would that be correct? Thanks.
Hello, I have a 7 inch headlight so the housing would be bigger than that. Would I order the 7 inch cutout or the 9 inch cutout?
Order the 7" cutout for your 7" headlight unless you want the bigger gap with the 9"

I do not see a fitment check for these windshields .. Was wondering if they can be interchangeable .. with the trigger lock kit and batwing already installed??? 2013 Kawasaki 1700 Nomad ......
The windshields are universal. However the mounting brackets are not. You'll need to look for the bike specific mounts for any model windshield. I don't know if the batwing mounting brackets would work on the fats windshield.
