    Description
The Karoo Street Tires are meant for ADV bike riders who are looking to trade a little bit of their bike's, rarely-used, off road grip for a bit more on road performance. A high silica compound results in enhanced grip on pavement in both wet and dry, while the aggressive knobby pattern still provides excellent grip when your adventure strays off the tarmac. The Karoo Streets also boast a constant contact patch that enables proper function of your bike's more complicated on-board rider aids, likes cornering ABS and traction control.
Features:
- Outstanding on road performance from a knobby tread pattern
 - Sport touring profile
 - High silica compound delivers excellent grip on road, both dry and wet
 - Excellent traction off road
 - Precise cornering and stability throughout tires life
 - Constant contact patch works well with sophisticated electronic systems like ABS and traction control

        An excellent all around tire.
Replaced the OEM Metzler Tourence Next tires on my Tiger 1200 as I wasn't happy with their gravel performance but didn't want to compromise street grip.. These have the same profile as the originals with a slighter higher bias towards gravel/unimproved roads (70/30). Handling is excellent in cold weather (high silica content), and ironically they are quieter that the Tourences!! The tires behave like street tires with wider treads for gentle off tarmac travel. Nothing to report on longevity, as I've only had them 1000km. Online reports an expected life of ~10,000 km for the rear - hopefully that's true. There are other less expensive options - however you will be comprising on pavement performance. The closest competitor in my opinion is the Michelin Anakee.

One of the best 70/30 tire out there
One of the best 70 (street) /30 (dirt) tires out there. Awesome cornering on dry or wet pavement. Surprised on how well they handle on loose gravel and river beds.
The new Michelin Anakee Adventure would be a direct 70/30 competitor, but the Karoo Street is very comparable - at a lower price.

What a surprise a year made!! Problem front tire
Purchased a set 2018 for across Canada trip. Flawless, solid performance in one and a half foot of flooded highway towards Shediac NB, or dry, hot mountain twists from Kamloops to Whistler BC. 12000Kms on a 650lbs (including luggage) GS, there was still another 4mm less a bit thread on the rear. Happy customer returned in July 2019 and purchased the exact same set (later determined it was also a 2018 manufactured set) for across Canada-US Route 66 trip. Within the first 1000Kms, uneven, wobbly wear off to right on the front tire with 0.1 kPa up from factory recommended 2.6 kPa. Almost wiped out by tar snakes on Hwy 416 on route to Ottawa ON, not sure if it is the direct cause to the uneven wear. Handlebar appeared to wobble more aggressively at highway speed. BMW Motorrad tech couldn’t find any suspension issue contributing to front end wobbling. Filed claim but denied by manufacturer as tires already gone through a few thousand kms. Rear is done at 12,000Kms. Fortnine.ca was extremely helpful throughout the process. A big Thank YOU to them.

        Long term use
OEM tires on Africa Twin. I truly ride 70/30, so these were a great tire for me. I now have 20000kms of mostly hwy travel, dirt roads and loose gravel otherwise. Gravel performance not great, and Imnsure a 20/80 would perform a lot better.
But these were better on dry road than the street tires on my sport bike. Better turns, better confidence in rain, and the longevity can't be beat. The front tire is less awe inspiring, and i may chose a 50/50 next up there. But these have been really great, especially for the price

        Not long lasting
I’ve put 13,000km on this tire and it’s at the end of its useful life. I was expecting a longer ride on it.

        All good!
Did the Trans-Labrador/Newfoundland/Cabot trail with these. Some gravel roads, lots of crazy rain in cold + high wind. They did the job and were fun in twisties. Don't expect super long lifespan with a heavy bike...but that was not the objective. All good.
