          Description

          Features:

          • Multi Zone Tension technology, new updated tread profiles and functional tread pattern place the Z8 Roadtec Interact at the top of the sport touring tire class
          • 8% wider final footprint area than its predecessor due to the variation of steel belt tensions and a strategically placed tread pattern which optimizes pressures in the footprint area

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Track and Touring???? I purchased these Z8s and then rode from BC down to California on my Ducati, did laps at Laguna Seca circuit and then rode home. Spent the rest of the season commuting daily on them and doing shorter day trips. In the dry, these tires are incredible. Got nearly 9000km out of them even with track days. Have replaced them this year with the same again. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good touring tire Got over 20,000Km on first tire, so I bought another. What can I say, it's a tire. I tour lots of twisty roads, and it seems to work just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Metzeler Roadtec Z8 I bought my new Metzeler Roadtec Z8 tires to replace the OEM product on my '07 FZ1 and as soon as they went I I was able to detect a marked improvement in handling especially cornering. They are a full 2 steps above what came on the bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what a tire is intended to do Got 20K kms off my first one. Performance-wise, all is good. Mind you, I don't do any extreme cornering, or any type of hyper-riding, so I can't say how well this tire works under extremes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than sportec m3 and m5 Great tires. Had over 11 000km out of them when I usually get less than 5 000km.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Tires - Felt Better Than Z6 Bought these from Canada's Motorcycle - great service - shipped (free) to local post office. Local installer put them on for $30/ea. I noticed much better feel over worn Z6 interaccts. The turn-in and cornering are superb. Very steady in a corner - no wandering at all - confidence inspiring. I have yet to determine durability or wet weather performance but I am very pleased so far. The stock (front and rear) I received was 6 mo. and 13 mo. old (check ##/ZZ digits on sidewall - ## is weeks and ZZ is last 2 digits of year). This is pretty fresh rubber. Bike is 2006 BMW R1200RT with 48,000 km.

What is the difference between M spec and O spec? I do mostly touring on the ZX14 that I have. With this kind of riding, which spec would be better M or O? Or does it even matter? Thanks

If 'M' spec is for lighter bikes, exactly what is the upper weight limit of an M spec tire? Thanks.

          Asked by: Bush
I have run this tire on a VFR800 for a while. It is a good tire that is not too hard. Hiway miles wrecks most soft tires. Would I put this on a 1000lb bike, maybe not. On my VFR it’s a good match.

On the 160/60ZR17TL - what does the TL stand for and will it suit a heavier bike, like a Honda ST1100?

          Asked by: Bush
TL = tubeless As for ST1100 suitability, go to Metzler website and enter your bike into the charts. It should tell you whats recommended
