My Go-To Dual Sport
I have run these on my V-strom 1000 for years and are by far my favorite tire for it. Much prefer this over the XP version, never had much luck getting more than 8000 km from the XP, but have got over 15000 from these.

Excellent grip in wet conditions.
Fitted these front and back prior to a trip to Alaska. Grip on dry and wet paved road was excellent with very good feedback. Behaviour on packed dirt was also very predictable. Gravel was a little scary, lost the front end a few times. Unfortunately after 7000km the rear was finished with less than 1mm left. They wore out slowly on pavement but extremely quickly on chipseal in Northern BC, Yukon and Alaska.
I'd recommend fir other regions but nit for a trip up North.

Metzler Tourance rear tire
Great tire. This is the third one for my V-Strom 650 and I've gotten at least 24,000 km on the rear and as much as 27,000 km. This is with nitrogen in the tire and Dynabeads installed running 41 PSI consistently. However, be careful once the tire develops a flat profile in the centre of the tread as you are close to the cords and it's time for a new one. The Tourance EXP is a softer compound and will only last 15 to 18,000 km on the Wee. Also, if you install your own tires like me they are not an easy mount especially with a SmartTire TPMS system but doable if you have decent equipment. I find the Mojo Lever works well.

Original Tourance
Been using them for years on a variety of road surfaces and different Moto platforms. The rear reliably returns 20,000 klm and performs well in the rain to boot. I have used other manufacturers products too including other model Tourances but these are my old reliable.

If it ain't broken don't fixit.
I have been riding Metzler Tourance for the past seven years and well over 200K km in all weather and have not had a problem. Twice across Canada and back and all the local riding these tires have provided me confidence on both my V Stroms and now on my BMW GSA 1200 70K km. Thought of trying other tires but decided to stick with what i know and ride with confidence on.

Extremely durable 85/15 tire for adventure touring
I have used Metz Tourance and Continental Trail Attacks for our trips. Http://vstromadventures.blogspot.ca the Metzlars are superior regardless of what tests say. Traction and durability in all conditions are great and of course your rubber is your life on the road. Can't say enough good about them. Keep them inflated and monitor tire pressure. Only allow 5% variance between cold and hot pressures. A lot of people inflate to a manufacturers stated amount. That's just a starting point. I run 41 frt 47 rear on a 2 up loaded vstromadventures 1000 and have no cupping, great handling and traction and minimal wear.

Great 80/20 Tire.
Smooth tire for highway, great cornering as well and decent off-road. Best of both worlds for my style of riding.

This is the third time I have used this same tire, so I guess it works well for me. They had it in stock at a great price, and delivery was free. Wow!
