Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic road tire These Metzeler's perform so well on my Vstrom 1000. It's still early to draw a final conclusion but after approximately 600km on them I have zero complaints. The bike is nimble again! In my opinion, Tourance Next aren't designed for off road use but they're simply amazing on asphalt ... much better performance than Bridgestone Battle Wings. Wet and dry grip is great, truly confidence inspiring rubber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tire for the Kawasaki Versys 650 Great tire choice for the Versys 650 if you plan to do limited off pavement running occasionally. Not quite as good dry pavement grip as something like a Michelin PR4 but better than other dual sport tires I have used, many times better grip on dirt, gravel and chip seal. IMO best tire choice for a 90/10 tire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Right tires, just getting scrubbed in I recently purchased the Tourance Next for my 2007 Triumph Tiger - after much research, I chose a 90/10 (on/off-road) and Tourance stood out. Happily it turns out to be what the XR versions of the 2018 Tigers are shod with. I even took both the 800 and 1200 Tigers out for test drives. They felt good. And now so does mine. Still waiting for the rains to come but the dry pavement is feeling much surer, smoother, with neutral dive into corners. We shall see.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! I ride a BMW 1200GS and the machine is sometimes loaded to the hilt. I just switched from Heidenau Scout60's, which, by the way, is an awesome on road / off road tire, to the Metzeler Tourance Next because I am planning a long, mostly "on blacktop" trip. So far I am impressed how quickly the bike responds to steering input without being fidgety and how well the bike tracks. Looking forward to see the life span and how well the tire handles the wet. So far - very good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traction upgrade! After logging thousands of km's on Metzeler Roadtec 01 tires, I now place a lot of trust in the brand. After moving to a rural community, I decided my next tires need to have more gravel road capability, so this rubber from Metzeler fit the bill. I can now say this front tire makes a difference! Bites into loose gravel better instead of squirming (although any new tire is going to perform better than my old worn smooth treads).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Tire I just put this on about two weeks ago. It is cold here and the grip of the tire seems pretty good. It also seems to be quite stable in the wet as well. I have only driven it for 2 weeks and Jus tout the bill away. I’ll get it out. In the spring and if anything changes I will update this review.

          Questions

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 150/70R17 AND 150/70R17 B-SPEC?

          Asked by: AUTOT3K
If you see a letter and number combo listed after a tire size, that is a tire “service description. It may indicate a slightly different version of a tire that is made specifically for a certain model of bike, at the motorcycle manufacturer's request. For example, it could have been made from slightly different rubber compounds, less or more reinforced sidewall, slightly different clearance for rain removal depending on center of gravity or the expectation that they would be made to spend more time riding straight than in turns. In this case, the B spec tire is designed for BMW F700GS/Adventure although it can still be used on other models.

Does this model of tire utilize dual compound construction in every available size or only in certain select sizes? If not in all, is it possible to know which sizes have dual compound construction?

          Asked by: twowheeljeff
Yes, every size utilizes the dual compound construction.
