The most expensive tire in its category for a reason. Michelin is the most technically advanced tire manufacturer. Tried the rest, these are the best, suffer no penalty for being best in all performance parameters, including lasting equally as long or longer. VERY impressive from the 1st manufacturer to offer radials for motorcycles.

Great improvement from OEM tire
Replaced the Battlax tires on my wife's Suzuki Burgman 650 with the Pilot Road 4 tires and noticed that they provide a much smoother ride and better handling. Well worth the increased cost.

Even at this price point it represents great value, sure you can get lower priced tire, but not better value, my last set lasted 19,000 km and I think I could have gone to 23,000 km, the front much more I'm sure. I rode long days in hot summer conditions on long straight roads so the middle of the tire gets the work out, the sides look like they came off the showroom floor. That's Canada for you. Treat yourself to the best tire on the road, that will get you twice the mileage of your cheaper tire. Factor in the mounting, balancing, and inferior ride of your cheaper tire it seems as a no brainier to step up to the best.
