Rated 5 out of 5 by from Michelin Road 6 for another win I had the Road 5’s on my ‘09 BMW R1200GS Adventure. The road five was without a doubt the best motorcycle tire I have ever had on any motorcycle on the street ever in 45 years of license riding on the road. On the dry pavement you could just keep turning until the soul of my boot under the shifter was rubbing on the ground and there was still no hint that the tire was going to let go of traction. On wet pavement it is the same. I didn’t push it quite as hard as on the dry but I can pretty much ride as hard and fast in the rain as he can in the dry with the Road 5 and the Road 6 now I find out. The road 6 is just as grippy on the dry although I have found it a tad on the twitchy side when you’re up over 190 km an hour. The Road 5 gave me almost 12,000 KM’s! (11696 km to be exact) Apparently they’re Michelin Road 6 is supposed to be a little bit better on total mileage. I know my mileage in my service book when I swap tires so I’ll have an exact number of kilometre set the Road 6 gets when I wear it out. I have over 3,000 km on them now and I am thrilled with the performance. I highly recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another incremental improvement on a AAA tire Only 2000kms in, so I cannot comment on longevity - but I would expect Michelin's claims of minor improvements to the Road 5 longevity(which is outstanding) to hold up. No wet riding yet, either. Even if "only" as good as the 5's, however, it'll be outstanding. Dry grip thus far feels identical (which was also great on the Road 5's) What's changed is the feel of the front. The biggest downside of the Road 5 front - in my opinion - was that under more extreme lean angles and braking load it would feel somewhat vague. That has tightened up dramatically and front end feedback is vastly improved, leading to much more confidence when riding aggressively.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Michlen masterpiece These tires handle insanely well, I couldn't believe the difference from these to the Bridgestone battlaxe tires I had on previously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tire !! Bought those for my S1000XR, really like the turn in and the stability at full lean, but be aware that this is not an "aggressive" compound, it will slide if you have a "spirited" type of riding, but for touring and every day use it's really an amazing tire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tire! I bought this a month ago and have always drove on Michelin tires. I have a road 5 on the back and a road 6 on the front. Very happy with the ride and they seem to be lasting a long time. Will continue to buy Michelin tires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beauty tire Bought these as a replacement for my OEM dunlops, very happy with my purchase, certainly not the cheapest tire you can get, but you get what you pay for. Heard great things about then Road 5’s, and lucky me they release of the new 6 was the month I decided to get a fresh set. They have great roll-in feel, and are confidence inspiring in less then sticky situations. Now I actually want to ride if there’s rain in the forecast lol.

What is the difference between Michelin Road 6 and Michelin Road 6 GT? don

        Asked by: don66
The GT uses an extra ply I believe, a stronger compound for heavier motorcycles like wings, large touring bikes etc. Makes the GT last longer on heavy bikes.
