Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect tires for the terrain I was a huge fan on the M12's until I tried these out and IMHO they put the M12's to bed. Great traction and durability, I have several races on them as well as a ton so BC single track and they still look almost new

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Starcross 5 soft front med rear Came from irc endurocross rear and goldentyre front, the goldentyre was by far the grippiest front i ever had and the starcross 5 soft is better straitline braking and turning but goldentire had a tad more grip under braking while turning, this tire i like alot better, 14psi frontand rear, the med comp rear doesnt deflect at all while climbing rocky rooty washed sections and is really stable at speed, all in all i really like this combo very predictable and stable, great package the knobs in rear are rounded off after a 3 hr ride . But seem to have stopped wearing past that the initial edges wear off quick, riding from desert to mountain , shipping is super fast i order all my stuff from fortnine even sled gear watch for the clearance and jump on it. Good company to deal with

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and Mean! Got a rear StarCross for my KX 250. One of the best tires out there for trail riding and softer terrain such as topsoil.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for HP dirt and MX Decent all around tire for HP dirt and cornering but when you get into wet roots and loose rocks there are many other better options

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted First I ride a Beta 300 on single track. I was looking for a fatty tire to give me a little more softer / added suspension feel in the front to soak up some bumps. I've tried another tire and didn't like it so I ordered this one and love it. Did exactly what I wanted. Gave me a little extra coushing up front without loosing feel or feedback from the bike. I'm getting a nice planted feel up front without getting bounced around from every obstacle in my path. Also doesn't feel heavier to steer in corners I still have a nice light feel for turning and great traction I'm not washing out in corners. This tire is much lighter in weight then the previous tire I had on witch I'm sure help in every erea of ridding. I have a 90/100 21 Michelin StarCross 5 Medium up front and a 120/100 18 Shinko Cheater in the back, both on tubliss system and this is by far the best combo I've had on this Bike. Just my two cents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent What a great tire. Excels on the track and the enduro trails. Such an upgrade over the other available options, this thing hooks up in everything from slick mud to hardback and rocks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed! I ride a lot of different terrain, but mostly BC coast single track. This front tire has grabbed the best so far. Glad to find one that I can stick with for a while. Its only real weakness is hard gravel forest roads, but those only get you to the next trail!

          do these need tubes?

          Asked by: mason
Yes these need tubes, all motocross style tires on spoked rims need tubes or a foam moose insert, tubeless insert etc.
