Good replacement for use with Mikuni carb
I bought this because my OEM cable’s plastic nut broke. I was also having an issue where it would not fully close. I use it with an Hsr42.
Pros: easy install, slack is easy to adjust, looks good, more solidly made than oem, fixed my issue with oem clutch staying slightly open. Fortnine also had a great price on it.
Cons: only has a single detent to hold it open, so choke is either fully open or fully closed, with no way to move it in part way as the engine warms like with oem. Also, detent is a bit sensitive and will pop closed if bumped by ignition wires or sometimes even just engine vibration. I added a piece of rubber where it mounts to dampen it and that helped.
