No Longer Two Different Elements Pads as pictured
I have used this kit on several motorcycles over the past decade. It was one of my favourites for two reasons:
You can use your own grips.
The separate throttle heater element and clutch element provided two different heat outputs for layering on plastic (throttle) or metal (clutch).
The two different elements provided a balanced heat to the hands regardless of the heat sink activity of the metal bar. At most a layer of electrical tape helped insulate the metal side a bit more. My two recent kits (2016,2021) have eliminated the separate throttle/clutch elements in favour of a heat shrink tube to put over the metal bar and provide some insulation. It works to provide the balance of heat well enough, but it also makes the clutch side of the bar quite thick, and unless the grips you choose are very flexible, you may not get them on. You may need two sets of grips to provide you with two throttle size grips.
They still work well and I like separate high/low electrical elements that provides two heat levels without a resistor soaking up energy. They just don't make them like the used to or as pictured on their website.

Should have bought years ago!
I've had these for three weeks now and what a difference! Installation was pretty easy using compressed air to remove my grips, and my license plate light as my ignition controlled power source. (I took this opportunity to install an accesory relay to clean up my wiring) I used the handle heat shrink on my clutch side bar even though my bars are not aluminum as I have read that it doesn't heat as well as the throttle side. They both heat pretty well with the throttle side retaining heat a little better.
So far I have used them down to about 5°C and still had warm hands in my summer riding gloves. On High these warmers will burn your hands without gloves on, which I think will be great when it's really cold outside. On low they are great to keep your hands toasty on mild days. The included rocker switch works fine with gloves on, however it could have been a little bigger.
I find myself actually hoping for cold weather just to see how great these really are!
Great purchase, I should have bought them a long time ago!

This is the one to get
Great hand warmers for dirt bikes. Has dual circuits, no resistor. Elements and wire connection are reasonably rugged. I would give 5 stars but the supplied switch is of moderate quality, I replaced it with a more rugged switch.

I feel heat, so they work
Wouldn't recommend using the shrink tube. It twisted when I was putting on grips. Removed it. Hope they last a few seasons

Great product
Took a tiny bit of online research to decide the best way to wire them to my bike. But if you have a minimal knowledge of wiring you should be able to figure it out. If you want to use custom grips like Biltwell, these heaters are the way to go, otherwise maybe go with a full grip/heater combo like Oxford. These work great and keep my hands toasty on cold days riding alongside the north atlantic so I am very happy with my purchase.

The kit is really easy to install. High quality button and wiring. It heats up quickly and gets very hot which is exactly what I needed.
