Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One issue This tool doesn't work on Ohlins Road and Track forks. On the Ohlins damper rod the top 1/4 " or so is not threaded and it will not fit up inside the tool as the next smaller thread size in the tool is there and too tight for the unthreaded portion to pass. At most you get about one turn on, just enough to bleed but I would definitely say not enough to use force for pulling and holding rod up out of the spring to thread on the nut. Excellent quality as usual from Motion Pro but one short coming on some forks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tool The quality we use to see from motion pro is there. Everything is as advertised, you can use this tool to bleed quite a lot of fork models. Delivery was fast and the package arrived in good condition. The only reason why I gave a 4 star is that it's made out of aluminium instead of steel; so if for some reason you're cross thread, you can't use the tool anymore... but it shouldn't happend if you work properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have if you rebuild our own forks I purchased this so I can rebuild my own fork seals on my Gsx-R 1000 '06, worked flawlessly. The tool itself is high quality for the price and gives you a great grip with the 'checkered engraving' in the aluminum. Box appeared to been opened before, as there was a cheap sticker holding it closed, tho tool looked brand new.

Questions

Will this work on the damper rod in the FJR1300 (2012) fork? No thread size given in the shop manual.

Asked by: DavidK
I only know it works in my 2012 R6. There are 4 different thread sizes … I would buy it.
