Rated 5 out of 5 by from Portable, simple and effective Summary.. just buy them. Possibly the best purchase you'll make in regards to tire maintenance. I change and repair my own tires on 6 bikes. I've tried many bead-breaking tools in the past; clamp types, dead-blow hammers, fancy levers. I've even had my Vstrom 650 pivoting on it's side-stand trying to break a bead to no avail (not to mention unsafe). All the aformentioned tools / methods are either innefective, too akward to pack or unsafe. I've recently changed a cold Heidenau K60 (150-70/17) using only these Motion-Pro levers and a pair of Aerostich 8" titanium levers... 5 minutes to break the bead, no drama, no sweat. Just use some lube and work your way around. The MP levers aren't the greatest for dismounting the tire from the wheel. There just a bit awkward. That's why I carry the smaller Aerostich levers. But for breaking the bead, there's nothing better. I've tried them all. Although they offer a longer, forged steel version I recommend these shorter aluminium ones. You should practise using the irons you'll have with you on a ride/trip. Longer levers are not a substitute for good technique. I just bought my second set of these lever as spares. One set is nicely wrapped and store with the bike. The other set stays in the shop. Happy Trails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A really slick tool set! Met a guy from Vancouver up the Dempster this spring with a pair of these - nicest trailside bead breaker I've used. They won't take a bead down in one stroke; but work them around the tire a bit, and you're in business. This is the easiest to operate bead breaking tool I've used other than on a tire machine. A really nice light-weight combination set.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The quality of these tools are amazing lightweight strong I feel the levers could’ve been longer as the back tire where much tougher and could’ve used the added leverage

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool Have done 3 tire changes on my 1090R with this tool now. Did one change without and won't be trying that again. If you change tubeless tires without a machine or some mechanical device, get this tool. Makes life way better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective bead breaker, less effective as levers I bought this tool a couple of months ago. I finally got around to using it to change the tires on my bike a couple of weeks ago. The tool works great as bead breaker. It popped the front bead in just a few seconds with little effort. The rear wheel on my bike has a tubeless-style safety ridge which makes bead breaking rather challenging. It took a few minutes of working the tool in several places around the rim but in the end I successfully broke the bead without an assistant and without any other tool. While I was working in the comfort of my garage, I am confident the tool would be equally effective at the roadside. As levers the tool works okay but not great. I prefer my other spoon-type levers (see https://fortnine.ca/en/motion-pro-spoon-type-tire-iron). Still, even if you already have a favorite pair of levers and just need this tool for it's bead-breaking function it does second as two extra levers which might come in handy. The tool seems well made, and it is compact and lightweight but does seem a little overpriced for what you get. At the very least one would think Motion Pro would include a storage pouch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lever action Worked perfectly on my 1983 XL250R. I used the zip tie method of reinstalling new tire and tube as one, then cut the zap straps and violla! No pinched tube!
