One trick pony
Purchased for full price. Did not get off to a great start when trying to push the pins of the link to break the old chain, it mushroomed the tool’s pins badly and basically made it unusable again. I would say it’s all aluminum and just not tough enough. Luckily I had another chain breaker on hand. That said, the other side did quite well to push the new master link on. (DISCLAIMER, this is NOT for rivet style master links - it will push them on, but no way to rivet the pins).
Don’t waste your money and save up for the bigger legit chain tools.

Needs to be modified !
To press on an o-ring 530 chain master link it was too narrow. Had to grind down the flat side to make it fit and work properly. Should be OK to press out the master link; but, haven’t tried it yet. Purchase accordingly, or pay more for a better chain tool. In hindsight, I should have returned it for a refund — don’t be cheap like me and ignore the other reviews.

Ease of use!
What used to take forever and have me curse up a storm, took mere minutes and I was confident that the clip was seated properly! A must have!

Does not fit a 530 X-Ring chain. It is too narrow. I own a fabrication shop, so it wasn't too much of a problem to modify it to work, but most people do not have the facilities I do.

I bought this by mistake thinking it was a complete chain repair tool that could press out the rivets and re-rivet the new one. To install the master link I have always had good luck with a small pair of Bose grips which I keep in my tool kit. I have never needed a special tool for anything else but would have liked a small portable tool that could repair continuous chains which I thought that was what this was!

Doesn't Fit
I would like to use the tool to install a 530 o-ring chain master link. However the master link is to wide and does not fit into the Press-on gap in the tool. Looks like I will need to grind down the tool a little to get it to fit

Got the job done
I just used this tool for the first time to compressor a 520 rivet style master link. It has to be aligned right, but once aligned works very well. I have not tried to break a link with it, but would say it should only be used for lighter chains due to the aluminum construction.
