Phenomenal traction and excellent durability!
I was excited to see how a hybrid tire would perform on Simcoe County single track was excited to see how a hybrid tire would perform on Simcoe County single track trails and also on more challenging terrain at the Algonquin 2-Day Trail Ride back in June. I can honestly say, this tire did not disappoint and I was amazed by it's performance!
This tire is like having superglue on your rear! It sticks extremely well, especially on slick rock, slippery logs and provides great traction in loam, mud and hardpack as well. I was very pleasantly surprised on how well it grabs traction and doesn't let go. During the Algonquin, on the typical long stretches of mud and large rocks, this tire never once slipped. When in the past, if I lost momentum in the tough stuff and had to get going again, I would struggle with the back tire slipping, however, with the Arena Hybrid on the back, a slight feathering of the throttle and the tire would find traction even in the snottiest of conditions, giving me forward momentum when I needed it even from a standing start, uphill on slippery rocks! Amazing!
You would think that a hybrid tire, with a soft rubber compound, would wear fast, but that has not been the case. Wear has been excellent, with only a slight rounding of the front of the knobbies evident after a lot of kilometres the first half of the riding season, and that is including over 250 kms of riding the Algonquin, which can be tough on tire wear. The tire is reversible, so when the knobs start to round, just remount it the other way and you have fresh, sharp knobbies for more fun in the dirt.
It's almost the end of the riding season, with about 100 hours on my bike, and this tire is still going strong. I haven't even reversed it, which will provide sharper knobbies. Already got a spare one queued up for when it's needed!

Incredible traction, durability and longevity
I put somewhere in the neighborhood hood of 800km on one of these puppies at 0 psi running tubliss (because I nicked the tubliss moving it from a different bike and it wouldn't hold air). UNPARALLELED traction. the sidewall has finally failed now and I kept riding anyway so it wore my tubliss a bit. I pulled the tubliss out and stuck a tube in it. I'm now continuing to run the same tire with a tube at 10psi. The tread is probably >90% and still hooks up like a champ. Surprisingly little leading edge wear. The one con that I've noticed is that the effort of turning all that loose rubber was slowing my bike way down. My kdx 220 feels like it's got 25% more power running with air in the tire. That however, is not a drawback to the arena hybrid in any way.
I intend to try a gummy this time and buy a new tubliss. I will run it at 5 psi.
My only complaint is that I bought this tire for $94, back in 2017 and I don't like the idea of paying almost $80 more for it this time. So I'm hoping to catch a sale again.

Good for most terrain
I bought this about 2 months ago and have ridden on most of the terrain we have here on the west coast including in deep snow. So far I have had positive results, minor expected wear and only one lug has a small, pencil eraser sized chunk out of it from a large rock. Good wet dirt/mud traction, seems durable for logging roads and rocks, doesn't grab as well as I would like in dry, dusty conditions. Would probably buy this product again.

Awesome
The best tire for grip I have ever had, I’ve never seen a tire hook up like this does on any type of terrain, I only have 5 hours on it but was 5 hours of hard acceleration any time I could and I got to say it hasn’t worn much at all, my friend has a motoz cheater and he can’t kill that so if this is half as good I would say it’s going to be a 50 hr tire, very happy with this purchase and this will be the only tire I will be using

Questions
Can you get this tire in the sticky version? Tks
A gummy version is now available on fortnine. This is not a gummy tire, though the grip is incredible when run at low pressures.
