Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tires - long mileage I put a set of the Motoz tires on my KLR in 2017. I was halfway through a 5000 km bike trip from northern Ontario to Gaspe Qc and back. The stock tires wore out quicker than I expected, and an excellent dealer in Baie Comeau Qc recommended the Motoz. 2 years and 9000 km later, the front tire still looks like new and the rear has flattened in the middle, with about 8 mm of tread left. Great traction and excellent value for money. With 30 pounds of air front and back, the tires have excellent traction on pavement, gravel roads, rocks, light mud. With that much air pressure, traction is poor in soft sand. So I stay out of soft sand. I use the KLR to explore bush roads and trails, to get to remote lakes for fishing. So off road traction in different conditions is important. I also take longer touring rides. Newfoundland this summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing 50/50 tire Purchased for my Africa Twin, on pavement it is relatively quiet and smooth with excellent confidence inspiring grip. Wet weather performance is good as well but I admit that I always tone it down when it’s wet. Off-road it provides excellent bite on gravel, sharp shale and loose dirt. The Dunlop Trailmax Missions were out of stock so I got these instead and I’m happy that I did. I got the front and rear tires as a set. Excellent tires.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Motoz Tractionators on KLR650 I installed the tractionators front and rear on my ‘94 KLR650 toward the end of an 11,000 mile trek through all the east half of Canada. The previous tires were Kenda 761’s with 9,000 miles of wear. The immediate sensation was that the Tractionators were very round and “rolly” that is quick to turn in to a corner. The traction on wet pavement and on dry gravel roads seemed good. With 4,000 miles on the Tractionators seem to be wearing at a normal rate for a projected 10,000-12,000 mie life. Being a 50/50 dirt and road tire there are compromises on pavement. The most noticeable being a bit of steering wander on rain grooves and on steel grate bridge decks. Easily controlled, but just something to be aware of to avoid surprises. these tires have stiff side walls and take patience to change the rear with hand tire irons. This should give good controllability if one goes flat. They seem about right for the money. JH

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best tires for long overland trips. Drove from Northen Alberta to Columebia about 20,00km, still at least a good 2000km of tread left. Outstanding in all road conditions, handles better then the Torrance road tire I had, torrential downpour, cold weather very durable on rough roads only one puncture the whole trip. Good traction in the dirt, gravel even when wet. Excellent wear on a heavy fully load bike.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great tire - other than severe cracking… I bought a set of Motoz Tractionator GPS tires based on other reviews of performance & longevity for my cross-Canada tour. I hoped to do the entire trip without having to replace tires en route. The good news, at 15,000 Km’s, the rear still had ample tread for me to make it home. The bad news is, the rear tire had some severe cracking. The cracks were all in a line around the tire. These cracks appeared to be extending straight in toward the cords, originating from the corner of lugs/knobs. Fortunately I was able to have the tire replaced with a different brand, without having to wait for delivery. I was fairly heavily loaded but was well within the rated weight capacity. I was diligent in maintaining air pressure - using the BMW recommendation of 42 psi. And I drove through lots of rain & cool temperatures, so heat should not have been a factor. Not visible in the photos, the tire was actually bulging out along several of the cracks. Not a comforting sight!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Update I’m posting this as an update to my last review. I’ve put around 6000km on this set of tires and they still look relatively new. Dry grip on pavement is the best I’ve experienced in a 50/50 tire. You can rail through the twisty bits like you’re on Diablos. Off road on hard dirt and loose rocks the tires hook up and stay planted. These things are perfect for the riders who are planning long trips and want a great mix of performance and durability. If mine ever wear out the same tire is going right back on. Extremely impressed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Motoz Tractionator-GSA 800 Bought a month ago- rear tyre only. Roads are all full of grit left over from winter. So far so good. Hoping to get more mileage than my Karoo's (6300 kms). Price was less than the Metzelers but more than the Shinko's I was looking at. I watched Ryan F9 rave on Fortnine channel so decided to pop for them based on that. They are a PITA to put on. I bent two spoons - gave up and went to a local shop.. the good about that is- they are SOLID..Gave em four stars based on what I know now. Back with more after some K's

I think it is buas ply, has been a good 50/50 tire but chunked out a bit in the rocks around here in Kenora.
