The beam focus on this light is quite wide, which requires me to use a higher setting to see a reasonable distance, which ends up burning out the battery quite fast. I bought this to use as a helmet-mounted light. My (much cheaper) Evo NiteBright 1000 headlight in 200 lumen mode looks brighter than this light in 400 lumen mode due to the beam focus. The 800 lumen mode is my preferred brightness, but that burns out the battery too fast. I usually ride with this at 400 lumens and that gives me a bit over 3 hours which is barely enough. Given the price, this is pretty disappointing.
