The good, and the bad
This review is for the Switchblade Shorty Windshield, AND the mounting brackets purchased in order to mount the shield.
SWITCHBLADE SHORTY WINDSHIELD
The shield is awesome, I love it. And i may get another in order to change them out for different applications, and looks. It is literally seconds to change out the shields. once the brackets are on, you have more options, quickly.
SWITCHBLADE MOUNTING BRACKETS - FOR INDIAN SCOUT, AND OTHER BIKES
This mounting system is a nightmare to install. Not only is it very vague in the directions, Crappo pictures to illustrate the vague directions, but the worst part is that once they are on, they are on for life for two reasons:
1) They cannot be taken off. They are designed that once you have spent a very frustratingly long time forcing them to go into place (nothing should ever have to be forced to go into place) , it cannot be reversed. You are then stuck ONLY using Switchblade windshields for the duration of the time you own your bike. I happen to like a couple of other styles, so I won't need to remove them, but if i didn't......I would be very, very upset as one should be able to choose what they use on their bike, in every way possible.
2) Even if you COULD get this mounting system off your bike after, the force required to insert these pieces have no doubt scratched up the chrome on the tree enough that you will need to have something to cover it anyway. There is no way it did no damage. Before deciding on this system, Google some forums regarding others who also used this system. I didn't, I googled when i was having difficulties installing, only then did I find every other person had the same frustrations and issues. If you are willing to go with this system forever, then that is great, just be aware that you cannot afterwards change your mind and use another system. Once on, always on.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE COMMITTED TO WANTING THIS SYSTEM ON YOUR BIKE FOREVER IF YOU USE THEM

Good fit and great looking
Was exactly what I expected and complements the look, some really don’t. The only issue is with the tint, at certain sunlight conditions there is a colour rainbow effect almost like a puddle of gasoline reflecting colours.
