On short trips, strap into your Hurricane Bag and go. Heading out for the weekend? Tuck in your backpack straps and strap it down to your bike. The waterproof Hurricane Bag is up for either task.
The rugged Nelson Rigg Hurricane looks a little more complicated than your average backpack. That's because it is. This roll-top bag is fully kitted out with MOLLE webbing and multiple tie-down points so it can be secured to the tail end of your bike. The bag features an air purge valve so you're not fighting any trapped air when forming a water-tight seal or using the compression straps. An external pair of bottle holsters support the transport of 1L fuel bottles, water or Brawndo (sold separately). Strap the Hurricane to your back and lock it in with the sternum and waist straps or tuck all that away and go tail bag mode. It's your call.

Great multipurpose water proof pack/bagThis bag totally fits my needs, I needed to get a replacement backpack, and when I found this I knew it would be a winner. After watching the video review I bought it. I take it to work, even when I'm not riding, and when I do ride, it fits snug to my body with all the adjustable straps. And when I pack even more, it converts to a tail bag. Brilliant. I've only had it in light rain so far, and no issues. I purchased the 20L bag, which is a typical back pack size, and appears to be the one in the pictures.

Good luggage option.Bought the 40L for a 3 day trip to go around Vancouver Island. I used it as a tail bag then. It kept my clothes dry and the purge valve helped my luggage to be compact. I'm using it as my semi-daily backpack now. If I had unlimited money, I would buy the smaller one for daily commuting for work. The amount of customization is both a pro/con. The ability to switch to a backpack and the additional removable map pocket are really good. Downside is there are too many straps and loops around the bag. Lastly, first thing that anybody that buys this bag with the intention to use it as a tail pack should replace the straps with ROK straps. The one that came with the bag is ok, but the ROKs are leaps better and feel more secure.

A really great packThis arrived and it will suit my purposes very well (trail and dirt road rides when I take all the cases off and go with a pack, tankbag and what I have under the seat. Preped fro whatever comes or being stuck in the bush overnight.
Very well made and functional. I bought the 20L and its pretty large and accomodating. I can imaging the 40L version would be nice to use as a duffel stapped on the bike as it would be too large to wear and ride.
Well thought out starage and strapping system. I will also use this pack for kayaking and canoeing where waterproof is a necessity.

Been a great bag so farDid a 5100km trip to Alaska and Yukon, had a fair bit of rain and everything was dry. Vent valve is a great idea. Strap system worked great on my factory rack on my '13 KLR. Can't see myself ever using it as a back pack so if I could change one thing I would like to see the back pack straps removable so it would pack down lower on the bike, pretty minor though. Would definitely buy again.

D'ont buy this for a laptopThe bag is waterproof and well made but do not buy for a laptop.
Description says it fits most 15 inch but the inside pocket stars at 9.5 inch width and at the bottom around 8 inch. I have a 14 inch laptop and it fits halfway in the pocket my laptop is 9.5 inch in width. Fortnine told me they are all like that and Nelson-Rigg told me it's design intent. I have never seen trapezoid laptop... Make sure you're device is no more than 8 inch in width if not it does not fit.

Tellement grosJe me suis basé sur mon sac à dos actuel Osprey 36L.
