Nuetech Tubliss Rim Tape Item # 481071

Description
The Nuetech rim tape functions as a cushion for the tube against the spoke nipples and to keep dirt out of the rim. The two width of 22mm and 27mm are designed specifically to fit the separate sizes of the front and rear tyre. When installing the rim tape you must make sure to have at least 1 inch of tape overlap, this ensures that no dirt gets through the gap where they meet.

3 wraps is better than 1
Bought this for a rim change it wraps 3X around the rim which is nice. Clean rim first with brake cleaner than use windex to remove residue and the tape will stick like glue!

Fortnine Photo is Inaccurate: Product is Great
The Fortnine website photo shows thick black tape, actual tape is identical to the tape that is part of the Tubliss system. Wraps around rim 3 times.

Works perfectly!!
It did 3 wraps and I still had left over. As it is recommended by Nuetech do 3 wraps, 1 in the center and then move over to go right to the edge of the first step on the rim, one wrap on each side of the rim to the first edge.
Make sure you clean the rim first, clean with brake clean or warm water with de-greaser soap and a brush and then the tape sticks well!!

Questions
Will this product work to convert a spoked rim to take tubeless tires? IE effectively seal over the spoke ends in lines with this typical modification? Or, is it just a basic rim strip, but a little better as it won’t move like the usual rubber rim strip?
No, this is for a Tubliss system, which has a small tube. This tape is used to protect the 100+ psi small tube from the spoke nipples. It is not intended and will not make an air tight seal.
