Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants, but not quite perfect I was looking for riding pants that would fit my half century old body, and was having a hard time. I'm about 6 ft tall and about 220 lbs on bad days. In other words, I don't have the body of a vegan French underwear model that most pants these days seem to be designed for. Yes, some of us have thighs and a bit of padding to sit on, and skinny pants are not kind to that body type. These pants are loose fitting but not baggy, and very comfortable to wear for hours. The waist can be tightened with straps on the sides. The pockets are plentiful and seal well, with decent zippers on them. The knee pads seem a bit out of place but line up as they should once seated on the bike. So, if they're so great, why only 4 stars? Because I haven't described the liner! Who designed this! A non-stretchy waist on the liner that makes it a real treat to pull it over the hips. And yes, you'll put it on separately because it doesn't connect to the shell. I know, there are magnets there, assuming you can find them. Once you do find them in the shell and the liner and match them up, you'll find the magnets absolutely useless. So putting these pants on and taking them off is more of an effort than with other pants I already have (the ones designed for vegan underwear models), but once on, they truly are great. The material feels rugged and while I haven't worn them in rain yet, I'm sure they're going to do well. I've ridden in temps of 3 Celsius with these pants. I wouldn't say toasty warm, but certainly good enough that after my half hour commute I was still fine. Nothing a pair of Long Johns can't fix for longer cold rides. Definitely happy to hang on to these pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Pants! These are my 3rd pair of riding pants and my first Olympia Seattle's and I love them. I normally wear a 33" in jeans, sometime 34", and a 30" inseam. So I bought the 32" in these and they're a little roomy, but my suspenders fix that. I love the inner removable lining! They're comfy, they provide for moving the knee armor to where I need it exactly, they seem breathable and waterproof and VERY good workmanship. I feel very confident of my safety while riding in these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants Excellent riding pants so far. These are my first that aren't leather so I don't have a point of reference. That said, I have about 15 hours in them and these are very comfortable. The venting is good and they haven't let water in when I've gone through crossing. They fit over my MX/Enduro boots well (the bottom 1/3 unzips making it easy to put the boots on). Overall, happy with the purchase. For reference, I wear a 36" jeans with a 34" inseam. I purchased size 34 and fit well.

Do these pants provide enough room in the shin region to wear over an MX style boots?

                  Asked by: Lunks1
Yes, I wear them with Sidi X-3 Enduro boots. They fit over nicely. The bottom 1/3 can be unzipped and opened to make it easier to put the boots on.
