Good Deterrent
Great lock but not so great alarm. It does go off randomly sometimes, but it’s super visible and should deter most vandals and idiots. It’s quite heavy so carrying it around in a backpack might be a bit annoying. It’s super loud when it detects movement which is nice but if someone really wanted that lock off your wheel, they could easily do so with some heavy duty cutters or something. Great for cheaper bikes or casual locking and deterring of vandals. Also unlocking it is kind of difficult because the keyhole is under the lock so when you pick it up it goes off. So I recommend opening it super quickly before it sounds off.

Great alarm
This lock seems very heavy duty I really like that it gives off a beep when you lock it people around notice it I was worried it would be so sensitive the wind would set it off but it's not the U shaped key is kind of weird if you're not fast the alarm will ring until unlocked it's an awesome lock however I did not get a reminder cable as advertised

Worth the price, but keep in mind:
The lock itself seems to be sturdy enough. I wish it came with a reminder cable so you dont break anything in case you forget it. You can lock it woth the alarm armed or not. Said in the box it came with an allen key to place the batteries, but it was a Phillips screw and no tool, just the shackle and the 3 keys. I used the metal label in the key ring to unscrew.
It can be used as a disc lock or a chain lock. It fits in my Bully Chain's link but barely. I have to rotate the link 180° sometimes because it doesn't fit on one side. On the side it fits, there's not a millimeter of gap.
The alarm itself is the weak point. When you arm it, theres a really loud beep, it doesnt need to be, exept to tell everyone around that you just locked it.
The delay before it's armed is really too short for no reason. You better have a plan and fast hands if you want to put the lock on the shackle (arm the alarm), lock it with the key, (witch needs some practice to be able to turn it fast without finicking with it), close the keyhole door, and position the lock in a way wind wont move it.
Then when its actually triggered, Theres a loud warning, followed by silence and finally, the real alarm. The real alarm is a pulsating sound that is less loud than the armed and warning beep. The pulsating sound helps hear it in case there's a lot of noise around but it's still a bit weak. (Maybe because its a middle point between safety and keeping people around sane in case it triggers in windy weather). Still its hard to hear it from your house at about 75' from your closed window. Keep it opened a bit.
It's well worth it's price to me. I hope those batteries won't be too hard to find.

Pretty good lock
Its not good enough to stop the Lockpickinglawyer, but should be fine the rest of the time. I've been using it as a front wheel lock as well as with a chain. Works pretty well for both configurations. The coated shackle doesn't scratch my frame.
The alarm is decently sensitive, but also not overwhelmingly loud when wearing a helmet. Probably enough to scare someone away, but not enough to alert you that someone is trying to steal your bike.

Lock is solid it appears. Alarm really lacks volume. No warning lanyard included. Tricky key to insert in a timely fashion before alarm starts sounding. That lanyard that would cost less than a buck produce is a rip-off not to be included on an item this expensive. Kinda turns me off Oxford's approach to customer satisfaction.

Best lock I've ever owned
Any would-be thief that sees this lock on your bike will immediately move on to the next. Not worth it! Very tough, and the alarm works perfectly. Money well spent.
