Excellent at keeping my hands toasty.
I use these badboys in 0 degree Celsius weather with Helm Air n' Dry Gloves with no issues. So nice to have toasty hands. They're actually almost too hot to hold on full power.
On the highway the tops of your hands will still get a little cold. Protectors to block the wind would solve this. Winter gloves may still be necessary as it gets below 0.
Suzuki GS500 install was fairly straight forward.
1. Cut old grips with a blade and peeled them off.
2. Sanded down and wiped both the handlebar and throttle casing so they were smooth and free of debris.
3. Sanded down and wiped the inside of the grips until those fit the bars snugly. In my opinion it should require some force and twisting to get them on. This is how mine were.
5. Line up how you want the the grips to sit and do a couple dry runs to make sure you can get them in position properly and within a couple of seconds. This is important! When you do it with the super glue you do not want the glue to dry before you get the grips in position.
6. Apply super glue as indicated and slip those bad boys on! Note on the throttle side you'll only want to twist the grip forward when pushing it on. If you twist the other way the casing will just spin and you'll end up botching the install.

Work well.
I fitted these grips about a month ago, they are used every trip. This spring in my part of Ontario has been nothing but cold winds and frequent rain. Heated grips sure help to get a jump on the biking season. Well made, auto off ( II always forget to turn them off!) feature is great. Took 1/12 hours to fit to my KLR. Great investment.

Glad I bought these!
Have had three heated grips for several months, what a God sent! Great amounts of heat keep my paws warm. I really like the multiple heat selections, the auto off has saved my bacon (read battery) several times and these grips don't shunt electrical power to a resistor. Cheaper grips will use the same amount of power regardless of the setting you choose because of a shunt resistor, these Oxford grips only use the power that is going to heat your grips and do not shunt power to a resistor.

More than Enough Heat to Keep you Digits Toasty
The heated handle grip are doing what they are supposed to do, I ride in temperate below -5C and they are a big plus. The tips of my fingers still get somewhat cold but I can still feel my fingers at the end of my commute... which used to be a problem.
The installation seemed easy at first... until I realised that glue got in-between the throttle plastic thingy and the handle bar. I had to remove that, send away any built up glue and a 30 minutes job turned into 1 1/2hrs. Word of caution... YOU DON'T NEED THAT MUCH GLUE! The wiring was a breeze and super simple. There are a lot of useful videos online to show you how to install them!
I will be installing those on my next bike for sure!

Why get OEM?!
It's Summer now, but when I needed them in Spring, greatly improved comfort! Straightforward to install (anyone can wire the system ... You get to know your bike better too). Just as comfortable as stock grips, and are way cheaper than OEM. The battery save feature is great, you do occasionally forget to turn the heat off, but never have to worry about draining your battery.

Warm hands!
Installed these on my wife's 1984 Honda 650 Night Hawk. easy install and clear instructions. The difference between the Adventure and the sport grips is the length of the grip. the adventure grip is longer for bigger gloves. The low voltage monitor is a good feature and frequently flashes at high heat settings and low engine RPM.

Will these plug directly into the existing heated grip hookup on my 2014 Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 NTX, or is it mandatory to install the switch that they come with?
The hand heater kit does not come with plugs. It has bare wires that have to be tapped into a wire down stream of the ignition/accessory circuit. The switch controller would not be necessary if you already have that on your bike but some type of switch is necessary.
