work great but bulky temp control
Bought these for my wife who's hands get cold quite easily. Takes about 5 minutes at half way settings to reach my wife's desired heat, which is quite hot with gloves on. Only complaint is the very large bulky temp control switch and poor mounting.

Should have bought these years ago
I thought they'd be tough to install but after viewing a few videos I found that the grips went on quickly but routing the wiring and getting power to them took longer.
I made a small bracket to fit the controller to a Show Chrome Handlebar clamp so that it would be within easy reach of the grip.
the first real time that I used them was in the rain with summer gloves on and set to only heat setting #1 my hands were just right.

What a difference maker
So I go to pick up my bike which was getting new tires and the grips installed. Threw my helmet and jacket in my wife's car, and off we go. I realize I forgot my gloves after I pull on my helmet to come home. Not exactly how I envisioned testing them out. 12-13C and a 30 km highway jaunt. Needless to say the bugs stung a bit, but I had to turn the grips down to 50% as they were so hot. With gloves and cooler mornings around 5 degrees I still rarely go past 50%.
It has really changed the feel of my early morning 70 km commute.
I'll recommend them to anyone I talk to. Canada's Motorcycle got them out fast at a price no one could match in Calgary too.
PS. I won't rate the ease of install since I didn't do it

Heat when you need it!
I've used the heated grips about 5 rides so far and they've worked awesome! The max temperature is very hot! My husband found it easy to install and I find it's easy to access the knob to turn it on while riding. The only issue I have is that it ties into your battery so if you don't turn it off when you turn off your ignition key it will keep working and drain your battery. You can tie it in to your ignition but you have to know how to achieve this! Lol. It keeps the chill out of my body while riding. Which makes my ride all the more enjoyable!

60 Watts Heated Grips
They are serving me well as I'm riding all year long in Ontario. Please keep this in mind: during cold days, your battery will store less power and alternator has to power your headlights, cellphone charger and many things else... which means your battery is even more under charged! I suggest you to turn these grips off 10 minutes before hit the destination, so the battery can at least store enough power for another cold crank.

Warm hands = Longer riding season!
The product was shipped to me and I thought there were parts missing, mounting bracket for the controller. I placed a follow-up call to Canada's Motorcycle, they quickly sorted this out and found out from the supplier that they have made changes and there is no longer a bracket supplied. The controller zip-ties to the bar, I was less than impressed with this.
Installation of the grips is very simple, took me about 30 mins. The grips provide a good amount of heat. I have driven a few times at 0C and had the grips set at 50 - 75 % and my hands were warm. Of course heavier gloves are worn and the backs of the fingers get cold, but the heaters keep them from freezing.
The unit is advertised to shut itself off within 2 mins to prevent draining the battery if left on and the bike shut off. I tested this, by accident, and found that yes the unit shuts itself off, however I need a new battery, the battery was not completely dead, but not enough power to start the bike. My bike is 10 years old, and I suspect the battery is too. So the Heaterz did as they advertised.

Steaming Pile!
Controller is bulky, grips are chrome plated plastic, wiring is too short and messy. Not to mention after installing the grips were on full heat no matter what temp was selected. Had to pull over and pull fuse cuz they won't shut off.

Questions
The picture shows a rotary control but the description says it is push button. Just wondering which is right.
The Oxford Heaterz Premium Cruiser Heated Grips are no longer made with a push-button, it is now a rotary control.

What size unit works best on 1"bars, have 2004 Honda Vtx 1300?
I used the cruiser ones on my 2001 honda shadow 1100 with 1 inch bars was straight forward to install. Sure helps extend riding, early or late in the day/season, great product, may have to use better quality zap straps.

I have a 2002, 1800 Goldwing. One side has a 1" inner diameter, the other is 7/8". Please advise for the proper fit.
Pretty sure ALL GL1800 Goldwings have 7/8" diameter bars. Steve Saunders Goldwing Page is a good resource if you arent sure about things with your Wing.
