Fantastic alternative to Loctite 7649
Amazing alternative to Loctite 7649, for those of you that want to use Loctite 641 retaining compound for your bike's bottom bracket. Unless you have metal surfaces, you will have to use an activator on carbon / plastic or else 641 will not bond. Loctite 7649 is near impossible to find affordably. Permatex is under the same parent company as Loctite, and there are product sheets floating around on the internet that explain that this product can be used in lieu of 7649. I can attest that it does work beautifully.
