Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more scooter horn. Replaced the stock horn on my CTX1300. Not obnoxiously loud but definitely gets the cages attention.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Upgrade, Small Yet Powerful Unit Much louder than the stock horn on bike. The wiring was plug and play. Mounted it in the stock location with a small piece of aluminum to give it the extra bit of clearance it needed. It's a small unit but still a bit bigger than the OEM unit. Overall very happy with how simple it was to install and how loud it is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than stock horn Easy installation. The horn is louder than stock horn and sounds better. Although it is a "slim" design, it will still need more room than stock horn. I mounted it using the bracket provided by PIAA and it seemed a good fit at first. On my first ride after the installation, the horn bottomed right into the fender (small dent/scratch on a new bike). I removed the horn and utilized the bracket from stock horn. Seems to be ok now. Allow PLENTY of space for wheel/fork travel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not louder than my stock Victory Jackpot horn Not as loud as advertised. I measured the sound with a decibel meter. This horn is not as loud as advertised.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I picked this up largely based on Ryan of F9 YouTube fame. The horn is nice, small and the wiring is easy to incorporate with the bikes. However, in my case I had to fab up (which required a bit of welding, bending and grinding of aluminum) a custom bracket to fit it close to where the original horn was. This allowed me to place it our out sight in a protected environment and mounted such that it had protection from vibration. The noise level of the horn is much better than that of the stock horn but frankly to me at least (without a sound meter obviously) it did seem a bit disappointing - I was hoping for something approaching the noise level of a KENWORTH or PETERBUILT truck horn. Perhaps I was a wee bit unreasonable but still I am disappointed at the sound level. Adding the option of mounting kits would be a MASSIVE improvement. I would not go thru this expense and hassle again for this level of improvement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent horn but not for Honda Rebel owners It's nicely built, loud and quite easy to install, *if* your bike lets you install it pointing downwards without a lot of hassle. My personal gripe is with the bracket placement on the horn. You apparently cannot tamper with the screw in the back which *should* let you reposition the metal bracket. As it stands, the horn isn't a great fit on a Rebel due to how the stock horn is positioned and wired. The best I could do was to position the horn so it's facing up, unless I was willing to jury-rig a new bracket and extend the wiring. All in all it's decent but I didn't get all warm and fuzzy with the install out of the box.

Questions

Is this the dual tone (500hz) + (400hz) pair of slim-line horns or simply a single 500hz ?
