These are great all-purpose off-road tires. I bought the rear this spring for my Kdx, and have run its "sister tire" the Metzeler Unicross before as well (also owned by Pirelli). The Mt16 is the same pattern as the unicross but slightly wider with beefier centre knobs. Lasts very well and doesn't chunk, and the compound has enough flex to stick to a wide range of conditions (wet rocks and roots as well as solid dirt performance). Still better for general conditions than many newer styles of tires.

Second to none after trying so many
This tire is simply the best, I've tried pretty much every FIM and non FIM tire under the sun and no other hooks up like this one. Roots, clears out well coming out of the mud, any rock texture. The only place where I'd give 4 stars is durability as the inside of the tire delaminates after about 20 hrs or so, and because of this the side knobbies eventually peel off after about 30 hrs depending on terrain. It's a small price to pay for the phenomenal traction it provides. The two other bothering factors are that they are harder and harder to find in the 120 and that Pirelli seems to be discontinuing this tire and replacing it for the Scorpion which is ok but is just not the MT 16.

awsome tire
been using it got 1 month now and very happy ,, it grab in the root and rock very good ,,i definitely recommend it
