Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent 70/30 tire I put this on a DR650. Running about 32 PSI and loaded, I drove from Toronto to SoCal. About 5000km of high speed pavement and a decent amount of gravel and rock trails. Tire was about 50% worn. I thought the tire was good on the gravel and rocky mountain passes. It was hardly adequate in the sand though... For what the tire is designed for, I thought it was excellent. If i wanted any more off road performance I think the tire would be pretty bald after 5000km on the highway.

          Questions

Whats the difference with the 48s, 54s, 54v options?

          Asked by: Mark
The numbers refer to the tire load index, and the letters refer to a speed index of the tire. Your owner's manual will recommend a tire load and tire speed for your specific vehicle. You should not select a tire with a lower speed or load index than rated in your owner's manual. Hi, I have a 2014 Yamaha XT250. I want to change the tires and use Pirelli Scorpion MT90. What is the corresponding size for the front tire, original size 2.75x21? Some charts are showing 80/90-21, others 90/90-21. Will the 90/90 fit? Thanks,

You can generally getaway with 10 wider without any issues, and a nice side effect will be better protection of your rim from rock strikes from the bit of extra width.
