Pirelli P-Zero Race TLR Cycling Tire

The new generation of PZERO Race TLR is the most performing tire in Pirelli's portfolio as well as being the first tire with a tubeless technology entirely made in Italy . The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120 TPI casing, features the use of a layer of compound mixed with aramid which covers the inner layer of the tire, improving either the smoothness and the resistance of the rubber. Result: a less stiff but faster tire. The compound, on the other hand, maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance tires in the PZERO range.

Tread

The tread pattern of P ZERO Race TLR is an evolution of the design of PZERO Velo: several seasons of research and development on the roads of the World Tour led to a new design that enhances the behaviour of the bicycle in every weather condition.

Compound

So far the most advanced racing chemical formulation for road use, it was born from the Motorsport experience of Pirelli and the collaboration with the factory World Tour teams. The new SmartEVO Compound features a single-compound formulation based on three different polymers, each of which provides opposite performances in a perfect blend. The advanced mixture of polymers with 'smart' behaviors are the key elements of the SmartEVO Compound, providing better grip and rolling resistance in any weather condition. The SmartEVO Compound is an high-performance chemical formulation developed for modern road cycling, from everyday training to World Tour racing.

Structure

SpeedCORE is the highest-performing tubeless-ready road casing in Pirelli's range, with a unique design that adds an aramid band within the tire's rubber layer. This new structure adds strength and support to the tire casing but retains a supple feel for minimal rolling resistance and maximum grip, compared to a tire with a full bead-to-bead aramid construction. The tire also features a 120 TPI nylon casing for added puncture protection and maximum security.
