Hi , I m repainting the entire engine witch is presently in piece part . All the cases paint will be strip off. Like to know if I need to apply a primer before painting???,,Regards !!,, ( Bike: GPZ 550 1983)
No primer is mentioned on the can's instructions or on their product information. They have white and grey primer for other paints but none for this Fast Black epoxy. Instead, make painted surfaces absolutely clean. Mask off areas not being painted, bolt the cases together, and make a fixture which allows you to spray from all directions like an upside down garbage can. It is still warm in the afternoon so paint outside to avoid fumes.
