Description

The design eliminates the need for glue and safety wire, yet ensures durable, slip-free performance.
ProTaper’s exclusive, super-slim clutch-side Windowed Core not only minimizes the outer grip diameter, but also delivers critical relief areas for the palm and fingertips. The result is increased impact and vibration damping over competing solid-core designs, leading to significantly improved rider comfort and control.
The grip surface utilizes an extra-supple, tacky compound that is seamlessly molded to the inner core. This provides maximum comfort and traction and alleviates blistering. A firmer compound is used in the flange and endcap areas to resist crash damage and reduce wear.

Bonnes poignées
J'ai installé ces poignées sur mon KLR 650 et je n'ai rien à dire sur la qualité. Une fois vissée la poignée de gauche ne bouge pas et la poignée du gaz venait avec beaucoup adaptateurs différents dont celui qui fonctionnait avec ma moto.

Poor quality and poor customer service l
I bought these a couple weeks ago and would definitely advise against it. My bikes are all between 2020 and 2024 and protaper sent me the listing for the cams and are saying it only works up to 2018 KTM’s. The left hand grip twists around like crazy and I’m assuming it will break the tube very easily. While emailing with protaper they just don’t even acknowledge the question if theirs is normal or not? They will be going in the garbage with zero rides on them because I don’t want to risk it breaking during a ride, and can’t match the cams up. Fortnine great! Protaper not so much…

Does what it’s supposed to do
I was changing my bars and figured I’d get clamp on style so I didn’t have to deal with the glue. These worked perfectly. Site said it wouldn’t fit my bike, but another site did. So I took the chance, and thankfully it worked out. Feel great, easy install and worth it to not have to deal with glue

Thin and easy install
Love these grips and will buy again. They are the slimest I've tried. That helps me with arm pump and blisters. The only flaw is the left side breaks too easily; if you twist hard on them, the plastic body inside will snap. That has happened twice already.

Will they fit a 2012 KTM 85SX?
These grips are not bike specific, but they do include interchangeable throttle cams for most full-size 2- and 4-stroke motocross models, so they should fit your 85SX

What’s the difference between the clamp-on grips and the waffle grips?
waffle is grip pattern.
they sell waffle both clamp on and slip on. I found the clamp on less thick rubber due to a plastic sleeve inside. But the clamp ones can be removed with allen key vs trying to slide/cut/blow off slip-on type
