Good fit with some work xl500s
You need to purchase the springs separately so you need a spring compressor to fit them to the damper. I didn't have one so needed to pay a shop to do it, cost $50 which to be truthful is a bit of a rip off. Also i needed to file a spacer and trim some rubbber before the shock would fit into the swingarm space of my 81 xl500s.
However, the end result looks and works great. In the end im just glad that i can buy a product for such an old bike. Progressive make good stuff.
