Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product, Easy to Install I bought these to replace the old air suspension shocks on my 1998 Electra Glide Classic. I ended up ordering the Heavy Duty series but with my weight of approx 230 lbs with gear, the spring rate was too strong, so I returned them and order these. Easy to Install and work well. I run them on the first setting for solo riding and on second setting for two up. So if your weight is less than 250 lbs, I would recommend you go with the standard shock. Much better ride than the stock shocks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed ! I was convinced to buy the 412's by the many videos and comments seen on youtube, so i went ahead and ordered the 11" in standard for my sportster iron 2012. I weight 175lbs and I have to put it on the fifth notch to avoid bottoming. WARNING !!!The standards version are way too soft. Maybe if you go with the 13" or the heavy duties....but at this price I was expecting it to be better than stock. The only good thing I can say that upon acceleration the bike stays up-straight, no sagging towards the back, it keeps the rear tire in contact with the ground ! they are also good at cornering.....AND because you need to install them to find out if they're good or not....well too bad you can't return them (considered used). So if anyone is thinking about getting the 412s, just go with the heavy duty and go up 2 inches from stock to avoid bottoming !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable!! I got a set of 412s From Fortnine that were delivered and damage, they actually look like they were used shocks. So I submitted a claim to Fortnine And they had zero issues refunding my money fully and taking the shocks back. So I got another set in the mail and they were perfect condition, they even inspected them before they left. I put new ones on, fit perfect. Look great, and they ride so nice compared to the stock Harley air suspension. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get a softer and more responsive ride

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product Used these to replace the stock shocks on a 2005 and 2008 S50. No complaints, made the ride much smoother and improved handling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 412s made my ride better than new I bought the 412 Series Shocks 12.5in. - Chrome - 412-4064C for my 2009 Sportster XL1200 Custom. I was sick of the rough ride ruining every outing. I had read a lot of peoples comments and watched some YouTube videos all saying how the new shocks improve the ride so I finally went for it. I installed the shocks myself in under an hour. The ride now is a night and day improvement. They made my bike a pleasure to ride, like it should have been from the factory but wasn't. I think the new shocks were totally worth the investment. My only regret is not doing it years ago. Beware that the photos of chrome shocks on Fortnine and Progressive's sites are not up to date. Compare the photos you see online here to my photos of what I received and you can see the difference. The factory stock shocks were 11.5" with 2.0" stroke. They rode harsh, sometimes bottomed out hard. Every bump in the road, large or small, was sent up my back. The new 12.5" shocks have 3.1" travel and ride 20x smoother. The difference was obvious within the first 100 yards. The 12.5" shocks did raise the back end about 1" as you'd expect but it was so low from the factory that the slight increase in height was welcome. I also discovered immediately that the steering improved. It leans into turns quicker and easier now. It feels more responsive to my inputs in a way that I like. I always felt that cornering was never as good as it should be and now that the new shocks are on, it handles better. The greater shock travel is certainly helping a lot to improve the ride. I always thought that 2" was not enough and this new 3.1" travel shock proves it. It's hard to believe that there are some new Sportsters with less than 1.5" travel. That's nuts. I added some photos. The Progressive shocks, Arlen Ness inverted air cleaner, Vance and Hines Twin Slash slip-n exhaust, and chrome switch housings and caps all came from Fortnine. The tires are Shinko 777 with wide whitewalls. They ride 10x better than the factory Dunlops ever did. Since these upgrades, I feel like I have a new bike.

Will going from 13 to 11.5 on a 2003 road king require any adjustment to the bags or the drive belt Bags are hard leather covered

        Asked by: STUMP
With there being barely 1.5", we don't think that any adjustments would be necessary. However, the bags should be easy to tighten if you do have to adjust them.

What's the difference between the standard and the heavy duty?

        Asked by: Katomia
The key difference is the spring rate of the heavy duty being heavier. Heavy Duty Applications are recommended for bikes that are operated at or near the manufacturer’s maximum load rating over 50% of the time

Do you know the diameter at the top of the shock body for model # 412- 4042C.  Not the mounting access but the body of the shock itself. This is the Progressive 412 rear shock with full chrome cover.
