Best upgrade for my sportster
I have invested a lot of money into my sportster and this, in conjunction with the Saddlemen Stepup seat, is the best upgrade for the bike. I do a lot of city riding, both in Toronto and Montreal where the roads are really bad. No more bottoming out with the suspension. I don't feel the need to dodge every little crack and crevice. This increases your control of the bike and makes highway riding more secure. I went with the 12" version to keep the ride height the same. The install instructions were very detailed and easy to follow.

dissapointed
This will be an honest review. I purchased these shocks for my 2012 thruxton.
i had to put them on upside down because my standard pipes were in the way of
the top shock housing. the preload adjustment ring on these shocks has very little resistance and in my opinion could slowly back off while riding. Progressive did put a threaded hole in the side of the collar so the adjuster ring could be locked into place.
what they failed to do was send set screws along with the shock. After talking to them their reply was that they don't put set screws in the shocks. My question was why did you put a threaded hole in the collar for?. Anyways long story short is i can not
recommend these shocks. I purchased these because they were made in America, I am now second guessing my decision.
