Race Tech fork springs
The order process with FortNine always goes smooth although I was a little chapped that the front forks for my BMW F800GS were marked down 40% as soon as they were on backorder but regular price once they had the product in again, oh well. For some reason they could only get one spring strength in for that bike and Race Tech showed options, so the ones I ordered are for a more "portly" fellow than me, but I knew that going in and that's what I ordered. I was nor impressed with Race Tech however as they sent in with the product a cheesy small green piece of paper that said they are going green and not giving any instructions - at all. All you need to do is go on their website, well the one page of a few pics was useless for what I was doing and the link to find the recommended fork oil weight and dip/volume was dead. I bought and installed Progressive Springs for a different bike a few years ago and included in it was a short length of PVC that you cut to length as a spacer, and the measurements for that particular bike were provided. Race Teck.....remember that little piece of green paper, yup, it said to go to a hardware store and buy a length of PVC or steel, as it turned out I didn't need it after all. When it came to installing I needed to modify parts of the existing components to make the new springs fit adding a lot of extra time, and yes this product was bike specific, so overall I was very underwhelmed with Race Teck.

Ducati springs for Guzzi
Springs are an improvement over stock. I ordered the lightest rate available for the application, and they are still slightly too stiff, but they are much closer than OE, and between the progressive rates of the stockers. The common advice to order one step lighter than Race Tech's site-engine suggests was true in my case - the site suggested one step heavier.

Solid product.
My only gripe is that it didn't come with 4 stickers like it show's. Pretty simple install if you're competent enough to do your own fork seals.
I couldn't tell if they made a difference at first. I upgraded my 00 Suzuki sv 650 which has stock .75 (insert spring rate unit here) and 10w fork oil. I changed to a .95 and 15w fork oil and also did my oil seals. I'm 220 lbs so it made huge difference in the corners and general handling.

Best way to modify your front spring rate
Installed them to beef up the spring rate for my bike. Fantastic. Make sure you use the Race Tech web site calculator to get the right spring rate for your body weight.

upgrade for Hinckley Triumph Bonneville
great upgrade for your bonnie...... stock oem spring is .75 kg/mm; I went with .85 kg/mm as I weight 110 kg…. This was a good choice as it set static ride height (static sag) at 35mm and gave me the handling I was looking for…. Be aware that the Racetech website tends to recommend a heavier spring rate than I used… Ok if you are racing, but to harsh for the road…

Terrific product -money well spent!
Suzuki should have done this in the first place. My 1250 Bandit now rides and handles so much better and doesn't nose dive when braking. Combined with 7weight fork oil, this is the front end fix that the Bandit so badley needed.

2008 KTM 300 XCW. I find my forks quite harsh in tight single track, even on the softest compression setting. I weigh 165 lbs and planned to go with the .40 spring rate. Does this sound like the correct rate?
Keith.
I ride an 09 DL1000 VStorm. If my horrid, failing memory serves, I think their site recommended 1.0 springs, I opted for .95. Acceptable, but way overkill! I would like to try so,where around .80 but the bike works, and works well enough for me.
I tip the scale at 215 lbs.
