The RAM-B-224-1U suction cup base consists of a 3.3" diameter RAM® Twist-Lock™ suction cup connected to a RAM-B-238U diamond base with a 1" B size rubber ball. The RAM® Twist-Lock™ suction cup base is a fan favorite for use on vehicle windshields, and provides an extra strong hold on any smooth, nonporous surface. Complete your mount by attaching a B size RAM® double socket arm and device holder.

Grabs Onto Flat Fairings
I use the mount to attach my cameras to the front side fairing of my CB500F. The surface can't be to curved or the suction just won't happen.

works great on windshield
I actually used this on my car windshield to be able to hold my cell phone and use the gps on it while in the car. Works great and stays put.

Suction mount
This suction mount has been great, in my experience. Easy to clamp on and fairly easy to remove, it provides a solid base for most devices - unless they get quite heavy.
I like that it can be moved easily and repositioned.

Sticks
It sticks very well when locked, but comes free with minimal effort when unlocked. Doesn't do anything else, but what do you expect from a suction cup?
This system as a whole is great. I have a handlebar ball mount for my bike, and swap the arm and X grip between them. Better than buying two full mounts.
