The RAM® Torque™ handlebar mounting base features a 1" B size RAM® rubber ball. Sizing inserts are included to provide a tight fit while also protecting the mounting surface. The RAM® Torque™ mounting base also includes nylon-insert locknuts to prevent loosening in high vibration environments.

Would have been 5 but missing a part
Installed on my snowmobile for my GPS and it works great. Unfortunately, one of the adaptor pieces to allow for fitment on the size of handlebar I have was missing and I had to use a combination of the rubber (enclosed in package) and one side of an adaptor to make it fit. Worked out ok in the end, though could have probably tightened it a little better with the correct parts.

Is the bar diameter the OD of the bar? I'm assuming that it is, but need to make sure before I get the L or the S.
Yes its the OD. This mount is Very Nice!

Does the ball separate from the mount so I can get the bottom half of my Zumo mount under the ball?
On the version I have the top section of the mount is a single casting, with the ball rubber coated. The ball does not come off.
