Insert Device
The RAM-B-174-UN7U consists of hardware for mounting to either brake/clutch reservoirs and rails that are 0.5" to 1.25" in diameter, double socket arm and universal X-Grip® cell phone cradle.
Designed into the mount is a 1" diameter patented rubber ball and socket system with adjustment points at both ends of the socket arm; this with a twist of the arm knob, allows you to move the X-Grip® mount to your optimum viewing position.
The mounting hardware for brake/clutch reservoirs include both standard and metric mounting bolts. The included X-Grip® cradle has a clean and clever four leg design that sports great holding power without hiding your phone behind foam pads and plastic. The spring loaded X-Grip® cradle expands and contracts, allowing for a perfect custom fit of your cell phone. The perfect complement to the modern sleek interior of today's vehicles, the RAM X-Grip® is the cell phone cradle evolved.
The X-Grip® includes a device tether recommended for outdoor applications.

Awesome Holding
This holder I bought is amazing , Holds my Samsung Galaxy S5 with a case on it too. thought it might move around or fell off with the case but nope. Recommend this product to any motorcycle rider. Have older bike (Honda ST100 , 93 ) and the bracket fits perfect. Hope this helps anyone that is thinking of buying it.

Works very very well
Have had this for about a month or so now. Works extremely well. I did have to position my iPhone 6s down so that it doesnt lock the screen or turn the volume all the way down. I also use the included rubber web that pulls over the corners when I have it mounted. It just makes me feel better about it.
All in all, great product. I looked everywhere for the RAM Mount kit with xgrip, and this was the best price and package.

Quick and easy
I bought this mount mid way through this season and it has met all my needs. It holds my iphone securely in place even at high speeds (150+ kph). It is quick and easy to load and unload my phone into it even with thick gloves on. My only complaint is that the phone will swivel about 30 degrees but generally does not move while riding so it is not a big deal. The extra swivel is due to the universal spring clamp design and would be less of an issue on larger phones or GPS's.

Unfortunately we do not have a complete list of which phones will fit, however phones fall within the following sizes should fit:
Minimum Width = 1.875"
Maximum Width = 3.25"

The RAM Mounts Universal Cell Phone Holder Kit - RAM-B-174-UN7U will not work with the Iphone 6 plus.
You would need to use our part #252802 and #252822 together.

This totally looks like it would potentially activate my volume and/or power button on the upper right hand side of Moto g6. I'm surprised this is not a common problem. What are people doing to prevent this?

I'm looking to securely hold my NEXUS 6P cellphone on a Honda ST1300 motorcycle using a RAM Brake/Clutch Reservoir Mount and sealed Aqua box. Can you help me with what are the correct parts for my application?
The universal RAM mount kit will work just fine. It will either mount to your handlebars, mirror mounts or to the brake reservoir with ease. The rubberized grips lock on tight to the phone. I've used mine with a OnePlus2 and a Sony Xperia in cases and without with no issues whatsoever. I'm probably going to add a second for a camera mount now, too
