                  Description

We understand the importance of staying cool hot rides. Not only does your mind stay sharper behind the handlebars, but fatigue doesn't set in as quickly, and you can thoroughly enjoy being out on the road. That's why they created the Airwave 4, a pair of adventure sport pants - the perfect complement to the Airwave 4 jacket - that lets you effortlessly feel the breeze against your body.

If the name didn't give it away, the Airwave 4 pants are all about, you guessed it, air. Specifically directing it to the legs when taking on your next adventure. The combination of PWR|Shell mesh, ripstop, and stretch/ith full ventilation down the front of the legs, and round three-quarters around back, it means you're getting airflow to on your lower half to the nth degree.

A longstanding favorite in the collection, the Airwave 4 is a fan favorite within the ventilated pants category and has a Class AA CE certification. It also includes SEESMART hip and adjustable knee protection. Laminated reflection can also be found at the knees, so riders are more visible in low-light situations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Pants I've Owned Super Comfy & Stretchy + AA! good hot weather, AA rated. A fair bit hotter than other mesh (especially upper thigh/hip & butt), but AA worth it - and still pretty cool. Comfy slimmer for but not tight, lots of great stretch in all the right places sitting or standing on bike is great (off road). Pockets are great, big easy access, but lower and to the side, so with stuff in them you can't tell (unlike others I've had with more jean style pockets). Zippers good, big easy pulls, really comfy stretch waist. Side adjust straps are great to have, but a hassle to change (if say you wear different layers underneath, or had a few too many beers the night before!). Armour super thin and flexy - can't tell it's there, but only level 1 - but I wear Klim tactical armoured shorts and Klim tactical knee pads under and the double protection gives good piece of mind, and still barely tell it's there. I'm 6'3", 190lbs, XL baggy all around (felt like big snow pants), and need full waist cinched went with L - fits amazing, still not tight or restrictive, like a nice pair of casual jeans. Easily the best pants I've owned. Tried the Klim Mojave - these fit way better, Klim were too baggy, not enough stretch and not waist adjustment or stretch - very uncomfortable. Paired with Airwave Jacket (which I'm also happy with, but the pants are for sure better), love the short connector zip.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Maybe good for others... But not for me. Just felt flimsy and uncomfortable, with the knee armor positioning being weird. But they're pretty cheap, comparatively. I returned them and got something a bit more robust.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smeh..... Just not my style...too bulky and baggy....probably fine for longer touring rides

                  Questions

Can the knee and hip protectors be upgraded/changed?

                  Asked by: Bob the Builder
Yes, the level 1 armor that is included with these pants is removable and you can also upgrade to level 2 armor if you wish.
