Nice, versatile riding pantsOverall, I'm pleased with the pants but and would recommend them - but they aren't perfect. First, what I like: They're well made, comfortable, stay cool on hot days even without vents and the Kevlar lining is ample. They are a relaxed fit (imagine Carhartts, standard khakis or Levis 501) but I'd love to see these in a more tailored fit option (à la Levis 511). As others mentioned, the waist sizing is on the large side. I got a 31 but they definitely fit like a 32 (not sure who wins with this sizing glitch). Knee pads fit well overall but I'd say are maybe an inch too high on account of the 34" inseam being too long for me (why doesn't Revit make a 31 with a 32 inseam?). The lack of hip pads isn't an issue but FortNine, Revit and others need to specify which SeeSmart pads fit in the pockets. For anyone interested, the answer is RV33.

Comfortable and CovertI'm surprised by how comfortable theses pants are right away. I ride in them often and wear them all day in the office. I typically wear black jeans and these pants have fit right into my daily. The sizing is weird, but can be anticipated. I wear a 36 waisted jeans and ordered a 34. Fits perfect. The legs need to be fully un-ravelled to not pull up over my TSX-hero boots despite my neutral riding position. The "waterproofing" or aquaphobic materials worked for a couple instances, but now are almost non-existent.

Pants fine, button sucksQuality is fine and quite comfortable, pads are flexible and not restrictive to movement at all.
Note the hip pad is not included and you have to make an additional purchase.
I have the toughest time understanding why the button design is so bad. A paper staple style clip is used to secure the button, one leg of the staple is through and folded to grab the fabric while the other leg goes through the fabric and the back of the button and folded to secure. This of course falls apart after one summer and have to be fixed.

much bigger than size indicatesI ordered the 28/34, but i would say the waste is more like a 30 - 32. The pants are pretty thick with built in protection. I haven't really been riding with it yet, but in comparison to my previous riding jeans they just don't feel as comfortable to walk around in. My hope was to have a more casual looking pants with good protection. So i really don't know how i feel about this product yet.

Great pants but need to get the fit rightI bought the standard length black colour pants size 32" waist.
For reference, I am 6' tall, have a 33" or 34" waist for regular pants but most importantly the length from my waist to the top of my ankles is about 36". Also, I ride a 2018 KTM Duke 390. The foot pegs on this bike are rear mounted. All this information comes in handy to understand the issues that I experienced with this pant:
1) The level 1 knee protectors are not adjustable in the pocket. Hence, once you sit on the bike with rear mounted foot pegs, the pants get tightened and the knee protectors are pulled further up. Add to that, I had the standard length pants with my 36" length from waist to ankle, the knee protectors get pulled up even higher. The suggestion would be to buy the "tall" version of the pants. Hopefully, that will help with the knee protectors not riding up the knees to the thighs.
2) The pockets for the knee protectors and the hip protectors are exactly the size of the level 1 SeeSoft protectors by Rev It. I was hoping to use my D30 level 2 protectors with these pants but they will not fit in the protector pockets. Also, there does not appear to be any SeeSoft Level 2 protectors by Rev It for the knees and hips for these pants. Even if there were, they wouldn't fit in the protector pockets. I guess if you want to maintain the clean look for the pants, it's best to keep the protectors to level 1 and that's why Rev It chose to leave the pockets only the size of the SeeSoft level 1 protector.
3) When you fold up the bottom of the pants to show the reflective material, be careful when taking off from a stop. Depending on where your foot pegs are, lifting your leg to get to the shifter can get the folded up pant leg caught up on the foot peg. You can avoid this by simply placing your leg further out when you are stopped and taking a wider angle to bring it back to the shifter, so that's not a huge issue.
4) Finally, I am not sure how protective the SeeSoft level 1 protectors will be in case of a crash. They seem be pretty thin but I am hoping to never have to find out about their protective capabilities.
Long and short, they are good pants as long as you don't mind level 1 crash protection. Also, just make sure to get the right size for the waist and if you have long legs, be sure to get the "Tall" pants.
P.S. The SeeSoft Level 1 Protectors to get for these pants are the: REV'IT! Seesmart Hip Protector RV33

Not quite chinos, more like CarharttsThe fabric is a little heavy and hot for office wear, so I change out, but the thin knee pads are awesome. Good solid construction, reminds me of Carhartts duck pants, just something a little different from all the riding jeans and track wear out there. I've also sprayed them with Nicwax, which keeps you relatively dry if it starts to sprinkle on the commute home.

Like a Carharrt chino pantPersonally I found the sizing to be pretty much bang on. I thought they'd be pretty hot especially sitting in traffic this summer since there soo thick and stiff kind of like a pair of Carharrt work pants... But to my surprise they're pretty decently cool, and probably be pretty rad in the fall. My only beef, is that there pretty restrictive in the knee area. I find myself picking my pants at the waist before throwing my leg over my bike... but at the end of the day they're a low key chino pants that comes in black, and I can skate in them.
Since the lists of sizes in the drop down menu does not mention anything in relation to the actual size chart provided, does 38/32 refer to waist/inseam? Thanks

Yes that exactly what it means. They also fit true to size. I have a pair and most of the time people mistake them for normal chino pants. They do require a break in period because they feel stiff new but after that they really are comfortable. I love them.
